Transcript of MULTI-PURPOSE COURT · boerewors rolls, jumping castles, face painting and a few games of soccer...
The highlight of 2018 was the Opening of the Multi-Purpose Court.
It was lovely to see the Silverstone Family coming together to enjoy the Grand Opening where boerewors rolls, jumping castles, face painting and a few games of soccer and netball were enjoyed.
The Court has since been well used and enjoyed by all.
Additional benches were purchased for spectators or players to sit on while waiting to play.
Players and spectators are to please ensure that no one hangs or leans on the netting.
Booking for the court is essential. This is done at the Guardhouse either in person or telephonically. If you have not yet completed the Registration form for an access card, please contact the estate manager.
MULTI-PURPOSE COURT
FINANCIAL MATTERS
Why it is essential to pay your levies? …. The monthly
levy instalment facilitates the efficient day-to-
day maintenance and management of the communal
property of Silverstone Country Estate. Every owner is
liable to pay levies; ensuring that ample funding is
available to achieve the obligations set forth by the Home
Owners Association.
Unfortunately, owners who do not pay their levies place
an unfair burden on the home owners who are diligently
paying their levies. Levies play an essential part in
ensuring that the HOA continues to operate smoothly in
all aspects of management and maintenance; unpaid
levies compromise the integrity and condition of
Silverstone Country Estate because the HOA are unable
to meet its financial obligations if all owners are not
making their contribution.
For example, repairs and maintenance to the common
property falter; upgrades and improvements are delayed;
municipal accounts fall into arrears and the resulting
debts may prompt the HOA to raise Special Levies to
continue covering costs.
The table below is an indication of the number of owners
who are not paying their levies:
# Interval Number of
Records
Total Amount Due
based on closing
balance (R)
1 R0 – R1 000 54 16 853.52
2 R1001- R10 000 30 106 693.10
3 R10 001 – R100 000 12 369 841.47
Total 96 493 388.09
Pretor and the HOA are working tirelessly to recover outstanding levies.
Your contribution in ensuring that your levies are paid
monthly and timeously will be much appreciated.
Owners are encouraged to sign a debit
order form, this can be done through

ROAD AND TRAFFIC SAFETY
Although the roads in Silverstone
Country Estate are privately owned,
they still fall under the National
Traffic Act 93 of 1996. We have
noticed an increase in traffic
violations in the estate; speeding,
cutting the traffic circle, overtaking
and not stopping at Stop signs. This
is very dangerous. We urge you to
keep to the speed limit of 20km/h
and the National Traffic Act for the
safety of all.
Parents please also teach your
children road safety. Children need
to be made aware that they must
move out the way for vehicles. It has
been noted that children play in the
road and have no regard for
vehicles.
We continue to enjoy serenity in our
beautiful estate. Thanks go out to 365
Security and the dedicated security
officers who endeavour to ensure our
safety.
Home owners also have the
responsibility to ensure that our estate
remains a safe place to live. This is
achieved by:
 ensuring that when employing
new staff, you do a
background check.
 Foreign nationals – ensure
that their documents are in
order and valid.
 Immediately inform the office
if you terminate the services
of an employee, in person or
via email.
Residents are discouraged from hiring
casuals who loiter outside the estate.
Not only is this a security risk for you,
but also for the estate.
Residents who reside along the
boundary wall are to please ensure
that any branches or bushes are cut
back as not to touch the electric fence.
