Special congratulations to all the age champions and of course the winning House…Nian!!

Thanks to all the staff, parents and volunteers for their assistance on the day as well as a huge thanks to Tina Ballangarry, Julie Marshall and Rebecca Woodrow for running the canteen. I'd also like to acknowledge the Woolgoolga Soccer Association for allowing us to use their facilities.
‘Be Here’ Awards
Regular attendance at school for every student is essential if students are to achieve their potential, and increase their career and life options. Schools in partnerships with parents are responsible for promoting the regular attendance of students.
At Mullaway PS we acknowledge students who maintain an outstanding attendance rate by presenting them with a ‘Be Here’ Award which can be kept in their portfolios. Students from K-6 who maintained a 97% attendance rate or better during Semester 1 have received this certificate.
We do understand that ill health can have a bearing on a student’s attendance at school and we do appreciate you not sending your child to school when they are sick. Furthermore, we do hope your child can sustain an extended period of good health during Semester 2 so they too can gain an attendance certificate at the end of the year.

Touch Football Action
Last Thursday Mrs Dibb took our boys and girls touch footy teams to a carnival day at Advocate Park. Both teams played 3 games each and they were both successful in 2 of their games. The schools they played against were Sandy Beach PS, Bonville PS, Repton PS and Gilwinga PS.
Mrs Dibb was very proud of the positive behavior and effort from each student and looks forward to further developing the skills and team-work with the students before next year.
Coffs Coast Child Magazine
Coffs Coast Child Magazine is a free quarterly publication for parents and carers of young children who are 8 years of age or younger. The magazine focuses on child health, development, learning and leisure and is funded through local advertising. If you would like to secure a copy of this magazine each term please phone the school on 66540377 or email the school at: [email protected] Teacher Professional Learning The teaching staff are continuing to develop their skill and knowledge of several new programs and syllabus materials. Currently they are planning and organizing new content for the students from the new History and Geography syllabus. This will replace the old HSIE curriculum. In addition to this, the staff are continuing to build their prowess with iPad apps that not only assist with student learning but also electronic assessment and evaluation. We have once again sought the expert knowledge and skills of Bev Babbage who will be frequently visiting classrooms to assist with lesson design and delivery.
Miss Burgess and Miss Hopper learning about the new History syllabus.
Mrs Dibb and Mrs Babbage learning with iPad technology.

Canteen Volunteers URGENTLY STILL NEEDED Attention Parent/Guardians and
Grandparents, Due to a serious lack of volunteers canteen could be forced to close on some days next term (often with short notice). We cannot continue to provide
this amazing service to our students without a dedicated group of volunteers. So unless we want to burn out
our current helpers please consider joining us next term.
Full training will be given, as well as friendship and lunch.
