South by Southwest (SXSW) goes one step further with SXSocial, their own registrant tool that allows attendees to get to know similar users and exchange messages before the event. Topanga Days is an annual music festival in Topanga, California. The use of more engaging questions and posts (like hippie-themed memes) instead of posts specifically about the event, created the conversation of the event before it actually occurred.

Gigi’s Music Café opened just two years ago and uses social media to stay in touch with customers. Because of social outreach, the café is now expanding and has regularly scheduled events that are always packed and talked about afterwards on social media! Cupcake Burlesque regularly performs shows throughout South Florida. Guests at the shows take advantage of the show hashtags – posting pictures and videos even close to a month later and keeping the conversation going!
