Mughal ArchitecturalMughal period was an golden period of architectures. Many

beautiful and marvelous monuments were made in this period. This is evident in the widespread use of the curvilinear roof combined with arches, pavilions and domes.

Humayun had built the old fort. Akbar had built the famous Humayun’s tomb in Delhi, Fatehpur Sikri , Buland Darwaza, Diwan-I-Khas and Diwan-I-Aam in Agra and a Ibadat Khana. Jahangir laid a beautiful garden –Shalimar Bagh and built the Akbar’s Tomb. Shah Jahan who is known as an engineer king had built Red Fort, Jama Masjid and the world famous Taj Mahal.
