The installation Earth, The Rite of Restitution exhibited at AVH Gallery forms part of an ongoing project that resulted from a number of planned journeys through the Americas, an extension of Teresa Pereda’ s “Travels Through Argentina” in the 1990’s. The common denominator of all the diverse situations the artist creates on her journeys is her request to receive and give soil, intertwining, and balling wool. “Delivering” and “Restitution” are words that underlie these gestures, situations, and actions.
