4.18 User-Defined ScreensApplication A user-defined screen is opened. Users can configure user-defined screens

for their machine-specific application using special XML files. The screen lay‐out, elements and F-key functions can be specified in these files. User de‐fined screen are created by OEM most of time, the user defined screens inyour machine will be explained in the OEM documentation. In the automatic mode of the machine screen, press <Next> and <OEM> tostart the user screens. The user screens open only if the configuration file"Default.xml" is configured. The configuration file has to be saved in one of the following paths:1. /OEM/2. /usrfep/OEMThe interfaces searches for the configuration file in one of the paths men‐tioned once the user screens are opened. The file is searched for in thespecified order.

Special files have to be configured to use this function. For config‐uration details of the files, refer to chapter 6.8 "Display of userdefined screen editor" on page 105

4.19 Recipe AdministrationApplication This is an extension for user-defined screens. Using this function, the ma‐

chine can be adjusted to the current requirements via NC recipes. The machine operator can change the parameter values in the NC recipe edi‐tor and can save the result in a special recipe data file. The machine operator can also decide to write these values to the systemand to select the NC program specified in the NC recipe data file.In the NC recipe editor, it is possible to load another NC recipe data file andto use these values.

The NC recipe editor is called from a user screen.

General structure

Fig. 4-32: NC recipe editor screenThe following different information is displayed in the status bar when movingthe cursor to the left or right in the table:● If the cursor is positioned on the 1st column, the data source and the

current value in the system are displayed.● If the cursor is positioned on the 2nd column, the entire parameter com‐

ment is displayed in the status bar.● If the cursor is positioned on the 3rd column, the valid value range of the

parameter is displayed.Move the cursor up or down to adjust the displayed information in the statusbar to the selected parameter. The help image is also adjusted.

F-key navigation area ● <F2>: Opens the file navigator screen.1. Press <F8> or <Enter >. If an NC recipe data file is selected, all pa‐

rameter values are imported from this file and replace the availablevalues. If no values are available for a parameter in the NC recipedata file, the data of the NC recipe definition file are read out and

2. Press <F9 > or <ESC> to cancel saving. The NC recipe editor isdisplayed again.

● <F8>: All parameter values are saved in the recipe data file specifiedupon calling the file. All values are written to the corresponding datasources. The specified NC program is enabled (if an NC program isspecified and the NC is in automatic mode).

● <F9>: If one or several parameter data has been changed, the machineoperator is asked if he wants to save the values. Confirm with <Yes> tosave the data in the recipe data file.Subsequently, the screen is closed and the standard operating screen isdisplayed.

To configure tool data, proceed as follows:1. Create a file and save it as "hmi_tool_list.cfg" in the "/prog" directory.

Add the following entries to the file: ; hmi_tool_list.cfg ; tool list & editor configurationOS=1L1=On ; On = show tool element L1L1=Z ; name for L1 offsetL2=On ; On = show tool element L2L2=X ; name for L2 offsetL2=DIA ; configure L2 as diameter displayL3=Off ; Off = do not show tool element L3L3=Y ; name for L3 offsetRad=On ; On = show tool element ROri=On ; On = show tool orientation Ori_Type=1 ; 1 = for rear Lathe ; 2 = for front Lathe

2. Close the file and move it to the "/usrfep" directory with "Copy" and"Paste".

3. Restart the system and press <Tool> to open the tool operating area. Achanged toolbar is shown.
