MTS - MORE THAN STORIES
GRANDMA FU-MAINis 75 years old and lives in Hsinchu.
She is ACTIVE and quite HAPPY and satisfied with HER LIFE.
6
Every week Fu-Main participates in a lot of ACTIVITIES at the LOCAL
COMMUNITY CENTER.
8
But,sometimes Fu-Main has the feeling
that she doesn´t get enough OPPORTUNITIES to be and feel
even more USEFUL and IMPORTANT.
10
Also, Fu-Main feels that it would be nice to
meet YOUNG PEOPLE more oftenand tell them the many STORIES SHE KNOWS.
11
She would love to have more CHANCES toshare and pass on her years of EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE to the younger generation.
12
e.g. HOW to cook persimmon soup or how to use persimmon juice in dyeing
fabric.
13
Or to teach the disappearing Taiwanese language to the young Taiwanese people.
14
Although Fu-Main is in good PHYSICAL CONDITION for her age,
she SOMETIMES thinks she could use a good young pair of HELPING HANDS.
15
POLAR is a 22-year old STUDENT majoring in civil engineering at
National Taiwan University.
16
Polar discovers an interesting course at school.
18
”CO-INNOVATE WITH THE EXPERIENCED – NEW WAYS TO LEARN”
19
The Nation Taiwan University
Course Name: 【 Open-Innovation】Purposes of the course:
Develop the students problem solving skill
Instructional Strategy of the course:
The students should find a case, and then design the service product for the case user. And the students can learn know-how from design process, and the last this course assessment will be a “creative result”, like web-site or product …else. The experience can’t learn from traditional course, so this is the value of “co-innovate”. The students who register this course can show their result by social media, and also help students prepare well to find job after graduation.
Polar sees chances to:1. APPLY what he has learned in an
AUTHENTIC ENVIRONMENT2. Get new learning EXPERIENCES by
co-innovating3. Get material for his COMPETENCE
PORTFOLIO4. Find new NETWORKING
OPPORTUNITIES
20
and as he is a student, he sees chances to earn some credits.
So Polar registers for the course.
