Our Under-18 team recently spent 9 days at the MTS Iceplex in preparation

for the 2016 IIHF U18 World Championship. Within those 9 days the Iceplex

staff helped in organizing over 25 ice times. This included 2 ticketed exhibition

games that were successfully run by the Iceplex event staff and security. The

catering team provided us with delicious pre-game meals, lunches, snacks

and dinners at an incredibly high quality. The staff went above and beyond to

ensure that our team was well taken care of during the training camp.

…We had 17 people including members, friends and family members in

attendance…Our evening concluded with dinner in the restaurant. We were

impressed with the quick service and quality of the food. The staff in the

restaurant were very accommodating and set a table for us so that we could

sit together as a group. It is definitely a place we would visit again and/or

invite guests to for a great meal and refreshing beverage!

The 6th annual Mike Keane Celebrity Hockey Classic at the MTS Iceplex

featured 16 hockey legends including Ray Bourque, Doug Gilmour, Tiger

Williams, and Brad May. Every year, the event kicks off with a Draft Day

Experience held in the Press Box Restaurant. This portion of the event is where

each team gets the opportunity to draft an NHL player, while enjoying a meal

prepared by the MTS Iceplex catering team. I have to thank the MTS Iceplex

staff, catering team and event staff for helping make this year’s event another

tremendous success. We wouldn’t have been able to raise over $350,000

dollars for the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation and Continuity Care

without their support.
