MTS Exceed Series 65 Static-Hydraulic Test Systems

The MTS Exceed Series 65 Test System offers an affordable option for high-force tensile testing. Designed to withstand the rigors of high-force testing, this system is ideal for determining material characteristics of large metal samples. The four fixed columns and compact base provide the necessary strength and stability for accurate and reliable tensile testing of large specimens. Additionally, a servohydraulic actuation system and an MTS high speed, digital closed-loop controller provide strength control, displacement control and strain control for triple-closed loop testing. The system also uses MTS TestSuite™ TW Essential Software for easy test operation, and supports a vast array of accessories for testing a wide variety of metals and construction materials, including:

Grips and fixtures

The MTS Exceed 65 system accommodates basic accessories for standard tests of metal plates, metal rods, fasteners and steel bars. These accessories employ a general interface design for their rapid and convenient attachment onto static-hydraulic systems.

Grip description: This tensile grip employs an inclined face lock structure with a low initial holding force which increases with rising testing forces.

Convenient, ergonomic handheld device

The MTS handheld device facilitates streamlined test configuration and standard system control such as start, stop, hold and upper grip positioning. The handheld device can display the test status, system run information and test results. The two programmable function keys are configured to enable users to define test functions such as start test, pauce and hold position. The handheld device employs a compact and ergonomic design, for operators who are left- or right-handed, and the text display’s large font is easy to read.

High precision load cell with TEDS self-recognition function

The high precision load cell is designed with a high rigidity, high stability and a low non-linearity. It also provides overload and side load protection. A built-in parallel resistor design allows MTS software’s built-in calibration program to regularly calibrate accuracy. In order to boost efficiency and minimize the operator’s potential mistakes, it features TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheets) self-indentification capabilities that follow the IEEE 1451.4 standard. This enables the MTS Exceed system to automatically detect the load cell and download specific calibration information.
