Citizens of T&T who have been living here for three years or more.
Once you have been accepted at a local and regional public tertiary level institution or at a
GATE approved private tertiary level institution, you are eligible.
Who
can
get G
ATE?
Once you’ve been approved for GATE :
• For an undergraduate programme, you get all tuition fees covered.
• For a postgraduate programme , you wouldbe eligible to get fifty per cent (50%) of your tuition fees covered to a maximum of $10,000.00.

• HELP is a soft loan facility which isavailable to students of any ageacross this country
• Once you are a citizen of
Trinidad and Tobago and enrolled in a GATE approved
institution, you can access HELP.

• $25,000.00 per year at local institutionsand $75,000.00 per year at regional institutions.
• $25,000.00 per year for up to five yearslocally and $75,000.00 per year for up to five years regionally for medical students.

If you:
• Are unemployed and 16-35 years of age
• Want to get work experience
• Want to improve your skills
• $2000 - with secondary education and /or other qualifications up to CXC Level;
• $3000 - with CAPE, A levels, Associate Degrees or
Technical Level Qualifications
• $5000 - with undergraduate degrees
• $6000 - with post graduate qualifications
