    Dear Parents, 

    The ISM campus has been a hive of acvity this week! The MS is buzzing with excitement follow-ing the successful opening night of the MS play - A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The play is soldout for this evening and almost sold out for Saturday evening. Tickets for the Saturday maneeare sll available, so if you haven't bought a cket yet...do so quickly! The Teacher Dunk Tankwas a major hit during this aernoon’s MS Courtyard Event with Mr. Maclachlan, Mr. Respecki,Mr. Milewski and Mr, Cargile taking the plunge as students proved they have pitching skills thatwould rival Sandy Koufax! 

    Bearcat spirit is permeang every aspect of school life as the community rallies around the IASAS

    Rugby/Touch events, here at ISM, as well as the Tennis (ISB), swimming (SAS) and Basketball(ISKL) events abroad. We wish our varsity teams the very best of luck as the respecve tourna-ments come to a close over the weekend. Go bearcats! A special shout out goes to all ISM fami-lies who quickly oered to invite vising athletes into their homes aer the Rugby/Touch eventswere transferred from Jakarta to Manila. Special menons also go to our MS teachers who coachvarsity teams - Jason Juteau (Basketball), Dave Allen (Tennis), Wayne Hamaguchi (Tennis) and MJDurkin (Touch). We look forward to sharing the results of these events over the weekend!

    Classroom Without Walls (CWW): Please remember to sign and return your child’s CWW permission slips as they come home. Ifyou have any quesons, please contact the site leader, grade level program leader or the MSOce.

    Student Absences: 

    If your child is unable to aend school, please remember to call (02) 840 8550) or email the MSOce and share the reason why your child is absent. The MS Oce will then pass along this mes-sage to the respecve teachers. Parents are reminded that in order to receive full credit from aclass, students may miss no more than 8 class periods of each subject area per semester. (Pleasesee page 13 of the MS Student Planner for more specic informaon.)

    MAP Tesng - Round 2: 

    The Measures of Academic Progress tests are conducted twice a year at ISM during September and March. Students

    are assessed in three areas - Math, Language Usage and Reading. During this round of MAP tesng, all MS students will

    be tested in their regular classrooms during scheduled class me (Math class and English/Social Studies classes) unless a

    student has specic needs that warrant tesng in a dierent seng. Students do not need to prepare for these tests - 

    apart from having a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast! If you are new to ISM a more detailed leer about the

    MAP tests will be emailed home closer to the tesng dates.

    S2 concludes this week with our IASAS teams o to the IASAS

    Championships. Good luck to all teams and coaches as they strive

    to represent ISM and bring home some medals. Keep in touch

    with the Bearcats progress via www.iasas.asia for all live stream

    and up to date results from host venues. Basketball at ISKL, Tennisat ISB, Swimming at SAS and Rugby/Touch here at ISM

    ISM is hosng Rugby/Touch due to the bombing in Jakarta two

    weeks ago. Thanks to all our community who have stepped up at

    short noce to house the 140 athletes that are here compeng

    this weekend.

    Come on out and watch the acon. 

    Well done to our varsity girls basketball team who placed 2nd at

    the Hardeman Cup this past weekend. They also placed 2nd in the

    local league nal vs Chang Kai Shek played last Monday evening.  

    Also congratulaons to the MS boys rugby team who placed 2nd

    and the JV green and gold rugby teams who placed 3rd and 2nd in

    the PSL local rugby nals on Saturday. A great day of rugby for ISM

    teams. 

    Season 3 (S3) tryouts will begin rst week of Feb, announcements

    are now posted on noce boards and on ATAC blog schedules

    page for tryouts and the season pracce schedules.

    ATAC S3 sports for MS are Badminton, Track&Field, Mixed Touch

    and Co-ed Soball. For HS S3 sports are Golf, Track&Field, Soball

    and Badminton. 

    Congratulaons to our VGirls Touch and VBoys Rugby teams who

    both won their local league compeons last weekend. A great

    eort all season from players and coaches.

    Please note the pracce mes for ATAC programs for SY 15-16 are

    as follows: ATAC all year round teams- 3:15-4:30. See schedule for

    our All year round teams program here...

    All HS seasonal teams pracce from 3:05- 4:50pm each day. MS

    seasonal teams pracce 3:15-4:45pm. In order to clear the cam-

    pus prior to 5pm all aer school programs will conclude

    by 4:50pm or earlier. The last bus is4:55pm  this is due to the ever

    increasing trac concerns in our area.

    blog it has a wide variety of informaon and links to our sports

    and acvies program. If you have any quesons regarding the

    compeve program of sports at ISM aer reading the infor-

    maon on the blog please send an email

    can. 

    The ATAC game schedule pdf which is updated regularly by Triz

    Gonzalez (ATAC Athlecs Coordinator) gives the most up to date

    informaon on where/when and who our Bearcat teams will beplaying throughout the school year. Access to the game schedule

    is now via the ISM parent portal not via power school as in the

    past. A navigaon guide is available here. ATAC Game Schedule

    Users Guide. 

    Access the parent portal via this link, log in with your user name/

    password and then look for the ATAC Game Schedule tab under

    the le side quick links. Don't forget to refresh the pdf page each

    me it opens so you access the most current schedule.  Please

    note this schedule does change oen and at short noce due to

    involvement with many local schools and organizaons. 

    Check it regularly for the most up to date informaon. For security

    purposes....access to the ATAC game schedule pdf must be linked

    via the secure parent portal and details should not be shared with

    non ISM community members.
