Meet the Teacher

Welcome Parents!It is a pleasure having your child in my class. I have been an educator for over 17 years

and I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th grade. I look forward to working with you and your

child this year. It is going to be an amazing year.

Behavior Management

Students are given warnings before they are given any consequences:

1. Verbal Warning2. Time Out- 5 minutes3. Reflection Form4. Parent Conference5. Conference with the principal

Math

This month in math we will learn:•Place value•Comparing Numbers•1 & 2 digit subtraction & addition

Science

This month in science we will learn:•Weather•Water Cycle

Daily Schedule

• 7:30-8:00 -Breakfast• 8:00-8:50- PE/Music/Art/ Conference• 8:50-11:30- Math/Science Group #1• 11:30-12:10 Math• 12:15-12:50-Lunch• 1:00-1:15-Recess• 1:15-2:30-Math (con’t)• 2:30-3:00-Science• 3:00-3:15-Dismissal/Clean-Up

Assessments

Test are usually every Friday. There will be time where the objective being taught will take longer.

Math Facts Test are every Friday. Students are timed and must finish their test in 3 minutes.

Parent Involvement

If you would like to be a parent volunteer, please fill out the necessary paper work at the front office.

Parent volunteers can help make copies, laminate, cut, help with projects, etc..

Homework

•A Homework sheet will be given to each student on Monday which will state objectives for the week as well as the homework per day.•The Homework Sheet will be placed in student’s binder.•Homework should be completed everyday and parents must initial the homework sheet each day.
