Grading Procedures
Grades will be assigned to the following categories:
· Classwork/Homework20%
· Independent Reading 15%· Projects 30%· Quizzes/Tests 35%
Absences· Check my website for assignments for
the week· You can pick up work at the front desk
for any work missed.· Call Mrs. DeLisa at the attendance

Tardiness· I expect students to enter class on time. I
understand that there are circumstances that arise, that is why students are given 3 free tardies each quarter. After 3, I usually assign a lunch detention first, then after-school detention.
Parent Involvement· Read notes and assignments that are
recorded in your student’s agenda.· Monitor progress during units by
checking your student’s work.· Encourage and support homework and
assignments.· Talk with your student on a regular basis
about what he/she is learning.· Create an atmosphere at home where
your student has a designated study space and study time.
· Offer help with homework or make sure your student asks for help before or after school.
