is like a ‘Paradise Lost’ which needs to be restored with an unprecedented speed, scaling up the efforts of all the key stakeholders and constituencies
Road to Integrated Relief The critical needs are for immediate
relief:
Winterized Shelters are No. 1 priority
Warm clothes – blankets – quilts, etc.
Raincoats (if possible, single garb bottom – top, with zip)
Food security for the next 3 months at least
Medical care to be available in the inaccessible villages at a close reach
IRC/CSN: Integrated Relief Command / Community Services Network – which will take care of timely reach of relief to the affected families and ensure that dynamic survival mechanisms are put in place.
Integrated Relief (IRC) operations shall contain food provisions (if possible) for the next 3 months at least, winterized shelters, warm clothes, blankets, quilts and adequate amount of medicines.
Community Services Network (CSN) would imply that youth leaders and other potential village leadership is trained (in 2 – 3 weeks) to attend to the non-formal educational activities, self-help methodologies and take care of preparedness issues for the winter, including trauma care-related mechanisms
