Happy Labor Day to all. This is always one of my favorites; we get a day off of work to celebrate our work. I for one am thankful that I have my job. I am, however, more thankful that we get a day off from our jobs because someone decided that we should take a day off to celebrate the fact that we get to go to work the next day. You know what I mean?

After all that, I decided that I was confused, too, so I Googled the history of Labor Day, and here is what I got from the United States Department of Labor. Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. Well, if that doesnt make you gohmm.

Anyhow, yes, this still is a racing publication, at least for now. And, yes, there is still some racing left to do this year. Thats the down side of Labor Day; its like the beginning of the end for all things summer, at least here in the great North East. Schools start back up, the swimming

pools close, and, yes, the racing season starts to wind down. We do still have a few rounds left in all our favorite series, and, yes, it is time to watch those

points. If youre in contention, you better make sure you dont miss a round. If youre

not, come on out and play anyway because it wont be long before most of us start to talk about putting things away for a little while.

I would like to thank everyone for another good year out at the tracks.

The heat has been tough this year but youve all made it through. Be sure to check out our Loretta

Lynn recap here in this issue and be sure to thank

everyone that made your season possible. That includes your sponsors, the track owners, and the shops that support our sport and most importantly your mom and dad too. They give up countless hours and lots of bucks to keep you on the track. Let them know how much you

    appreciate it.Alright then,

get back to your schoolwork, and

well see you at the last couple of rounds.

On Sunday, July 29, riders from districts six and seven converged at Sleepy for a Pro Am and Suzuki contingency race, which had a purse of $3,000 going to the 250 and Open A classes. This brought the riders in by the numbers, with over 450 entries and full gates in both the 250 C motos.

After two rounds of practice and some minor grooming of the track, the first moto left the gates around 11:00 a.m. As has become the norm this year at Sleepy, track conditions were favorable, and the surface held its integrity throughout the day with minimal watering, even though each session saw 23 motos.

A sizeable crowd gathered along the fences and at some points were two to three people deep. The first moto of the day was 250 A, which gated 24 riders. The field was stacked with the likes of Lowell Spangler and Broc Schmelyun who have both qualified for several pro events this year. With Kyle Sidle, Jeremy Cook and Thomas Coluzzi up from West Virginia, plus Scott Clark from Maryland, the six put on a riding clinic, turning in some of the fastest lap times all season at Sleepy and wowing the crowd with their near horizontal whips as they soared by spectator row. Lowell Spangler took home the overall win for the class, followed closely by Sidle and Clark.

Junior Mini saw 18 riders charging into turn one. Cory Carsten led the field around the circuit lap after lap, being closely followed by Bradley Kenny. Kenny pushed in close several times but couldnt find a faster line around Carsten and took home a second place overall.

Jumping ahead to 250 C, the class had 34 entries, which allowed action all over the track. Trent Carper and Corey Arnold battled out front, while good rides were put in by Alex Ferrara, who finished 3rd overall. Kyle Bixler, Bryce Davis and Jake Impens all ran in the top ten and kept things exciting behind the leaders.

Looking back on the day, which ended around 7:30 p.m., the promoters, sponsors, racers, and spectators were treated to some of the best racing around. This was one to see! Check out all the results below and come back out for the next one.

Timonium OutdoorsAugust 10, 2012 Poe Conquers Final Timonium Outdoor of the Season Ryan Henderson www.RHDesigns95s.smugmug.com

After threats of rain, the sun was shining for the last race of the Kevin McNicholas/Gary Nixon Memorial Series. The night started off with a dash for cash, where the top three experts from both heats battled for five laps. Colton Smith #41 got the early lead ahead of Mike Poe #83s and Nick Henderson #29s. On lap two, Smith slid out going into turn one, collecting Kevin Bills #13 and Joey Parks #38s and causing the red flag to come out. On the restart, Poe and Henderson ran side by side until Poe started to edge out front. With two laps to go, Poe went down in turn two, giving Henderson the win. In the Open Sportsman class, it was Parks who got the jump on Poe, Smith, and Joey Alexander #14. Parks made a bob on lap four coming out of turn two to give Poe the advantage to take the lead. Poe slipped away to take the win, followed by Parks, Smith, and Alexander. The 450A class started in much the same fashion, except it was Smith who jumped out in front of Poe. Midway through the race, Poe slipped under Smith coming out of turn two to take over the lead. Smith tried hard to regain the lead but ended up getting passed by Henderson. Poe went on to take another win, followed by Henderson, Smith, Bills, Parks, and Alexander.

Billy Kraft #57 and Lowell Wherley #28 took turns leading the 45+ Senior class. Wherley eventually started to pull ahead, taking the win. Kraft finished second, followed by James Blair #32x and Jack Stedding #32. Sean Simmons #29 got the holeshot in the 30+ class, followed by Damian Kocovinos #26 and Steve Lerch #27. Lerch made an early move on Kocovinos to take over second and then made a pass on Simmons to take over the win.

Both the 250B and Open B classes were won by the #38 of Anthony Crabbe. Crabbe pulled ahead of Cameron Smith #15, Tyler Eggleton #24, Brandon Price #92, and Chase Smith #41 in the 250B. He then battled for the win in the Open B, beating Billy Kraft #57, Sean Simmons #29s, and Michael Webber #32. In the 250 Sportsman class, it was the #41 of Colton Smith who jumped out in front of Kevin Bills #38. Bills tried everything to get by Smith but couldnt make a move stick. They finished less than a bike length apart from each other. Smith took the win, followed by Bills, Price, and Cameron Smith.

Ethan Stroh #28 and Evan Batts #1 jumped out front in the 50cc classes. Batts tagged Stroh for a majority of the race even though they were in different classes. Stroh went on to win the 50cc Chain class, followed by Ethan Lewter #11. Batts ended up going down on the backstretch, giving the young lady Britney Thomas #94 the win in the 50cc Shaft class.

After three nights of racing, Nathan Reichert #16 proved to be unstoppable in both the 65cc and 85cc (7-11) classes. Reichert got the early lead in the 65cc class and walked away from the field. Robert Wheatley #111 worked his way past Jake Gast #3 to take over the second spot. Ethan Stroh #28 also got by Gast to take home the third place finish. In the 85cc (7-11), it was Reichert who got the start and ran away again. Wheatley took home another second, followed by Kyle Fitzmaurice #7x. In the 85cc (12-15) class, it was the #13 of Brennan Beach who took home the win.

Dash for Cash winner Nick Henderson #29s returned to the track to take the lead in the Adult 150

class. Chris Klinefelter held the second spot until Colton Smith #41 got by him toward the end of the race. Ryan Dragunas finished with a fourth, followed by Jason Isennock and Jason Cole. In the 125cc class, it was Dragunas with the early lead over Cole, Tyler Eggleton #24, Chase Smith #14, and Austin Tippett #55. Dragunas got into the wall on lap two coming out of turn two to give Cole the lead. Eggleton took over the second spot but then lost it to Smith on the third lap. Cole ran away with the win, followed by Smith, Dragunas, Eggleton, Chris Thomas, and Tippett.

Kasey Bauer #78 took home the win in the 500 (2-valve) class after Randy Horseman #15 had bike troubles in the heat race. Jason Isennock #30s made his return to Timonium after running the Grand Nationals out west for the last few weeks. He ran away with the win in the Open Twins class after Chris Klinefelters ride broke at the start of the final. Lowell Wherley finished in second, followed by Billy Kraft.

The lil guy Jake Gast #6 took home another win in the 150 Air Cooled class following last weeks victory. Courtney Blevins #27 finished in the second spot, followed by Melanie Siegel #38 and Karl Wheeler #17. After several restarts in the Womens class, Samantha Resch #2 came out on top over Melanie Siegel and the other females. Siegel ended up with the second spot, followed by Elizabeth Fitch and Courtney Blevins.

The Green Marble Enduro was held Sunday, August 12, 2012, in Three Springs, Pa. The event was round 13 in the ECEA Enduro Series. Weather conditions were perfect for the event, with clear skies and temperatures in the mid-70s. The area had received some much needed rain a couple of days before the event, making the trail conditions outstanding for Enduro competition. The 70-mile course consisted of six major sections of all new trail, plus the awesome MX track and Hare Scramble loop at Rocket Raceway. This was some of the finest trail that you could find anywhere rich, lush loam soil; hill climbs; a couple of major water crossings; tight technical woods sections; fast flowing single track action; and fast wide open trails, all groomed out to perfection for the event.

The event began on Saturday with the signup and dinner at the Three Springs Fire Department. The fire department was a huge supporter for the event, providing traffic control around the township for the road course and spectator points, support at the remote gas stop, and the fantastic Saturday evening dinner.

The first riders were out on row one at 8 a.m. The club was very organized and on schedule all day, providing 18 check points throughout the course. Almost all of the test sections in the event were points-takers, yet fun and challenging for all skill levels, with very few DNFs reported. Club Trail Boss Andrew Tsakanikas put together an awesome course, with well placed check points, perfect reset locations, and a great gas stop. The riders were really treated to some fine trail, and the club received many accolades for their efforts.

Overall Grand Champion Jeffery Pasqua had an impressive score of 17, edging out 2nd place overall rider Jeff Melik by two minutes on the day, with 3rd place overall rider Jarod Kulp dropping 21, 4th place overall rider Brian Melik dropping 23, and 5th place overall and local favorate Dan Stoppi Jr dropping 25 minutes on the day. The action was fast and furious in all the test sections, and the riders were really laying down the power all day.

The Green Marble Club put forth a huge effort in bringing us this event, with over two years in the planning, countless hours of trail cutting and gathering support from the landowners and local community. This was the first new Enduro venue in many years for the ECEA, and over 130 riders came out to ride it. With new members, new trails, new ideas, and a new event, it was indeed a fantastic day of Enduro competition. The efforts of the club, combined with supurb attention to all details, produced one of the best Enduro events weve seen in many years.

Many thanks go out to the GMER club and all their members for their efforts, as well as to the ECEA series and their sponsors, the Three Springs Fire Department, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Three Springs Lions Club, all the landowners, Clay Township, and our beloved friends the Carltons at Rocket Raceway. Also, a special thanks to Moose Racing, Ridersville Cycle, J T Motorsports, Matto Cycle, and Maxima Racing Oils for all their support.

Please plan to attend the next GMER event, the GMER ECEA Hare Scramble at Rocket Raceway, set for Saturday and Sunday, September 29th and 30th .

    Loretta Lynn RecapJuly 29-August 4, 2012

They are all champions; yes, thats right. If you look back to pages 12-13 from our August issue, youll see many names, and although none of them ended up on the very top of the box, Ill say it again. They are all champions. We had a few that were close, very close in fact. A couple of second-place finishers, plus some top 5 finishes in the Youth and Girls classes, way to go to the mini racers.

Below find the points of view in their own words from some of our local racers. Its always better when they tell it. They werent chosen because of their finishes, just because they were there.

Xander Brion: 50 Stock Limited 3rd O/AThis year at Lorettas I went swimming for a few days. I had practice on Monday and it went pretty good. On my first moto, I crashed and dropped back to 14th. I charged through the pack and finished on the podium for 3rd. On the second moto, I didnt do really good because of a crash, and I finished 6th. On the 3rd moto, I started 5th and charged through the pack and finished 1st. I finished 3rd overall. I cant wait until next year where I will push even harder.

John Barto: Vet B/C - 18th O/AThis year at Lorettas I saw the true heart and love of our sport with the way families sacrifice so much for each other. It was an experience of a lifetime to race there, to hang out with The G.O.A.T. Ricky Carmichael and to hear him say there is nothing better than the ranch. I have to agree. If you have never been there, you should go, either to compete or just as a family MX vacation. There is so much to do, plus after experiencing it, the love and passion for our sport will be magnified by the thousands. So, this year at Lorettas was the time of my life, and Wyatts spirit was with us the whole time.

Noah Geyer: 51 (4-6) AMA 1 3rd O/AThis year at Lorettas I placed 3rd overall. While there, I liked swimming in the pool, jumping

in the creek and watching Ricky Carmichael race. The best part of Lorettas was the racing! Kyle Schlemmer: 50 Stock Limited - 10th O/AThis year at Lorettas my brothers and I had an awesome time! We liked riding at the BMX track. Ryan Villapoto and Blake Baggett came to the track and watched us ride our BMX bikes! I saw Ricky Carmichael too! The creek was really fun to swim in. We went there every day, especially after racing. I liked the racing at Lorettas. The track was really big and the dirt was good. Hope I can do it again!!!

Jim Mcilvaine: 45 plus 8th O/A and 40 plus 15th O/AThis year at Lorettas I had a great time, I was a little off of where I wanted to be, but had 6 safe motos so was happy with that. The event just gets better every year. Going into this year I was thinking that this would be my last time for sure. By the end of the week, I was saying WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR !!!!!

Casey Clark: Junior 25 plus 6th O/A and Open Pro Sport 24th O/AThis year at Lorettas I was back in the Junior25+ class to chase the title, but I had my hands full with the return of Ricky The G.O.A.T. Carmichael, and with the weather hot as usual, the track had so many different soil sections it was a tougher track than last year. I got the holeshot in moto 1 and led The G.O.A.T. for almost a lap, which put a smile on my face. Not many people can say they have done that. I scored 7ths in my next two motos, but as far as my riding, I was happy with my finishes. I tried my best, and I didnt quit. I look at Lorettas 2012 as a race that people are gonna talk about for a long time, with all the hype with Ricky returning to racing. I am proud that I was a part of it! But for the fun side, the creek was a hot spot as usual, packed every day good times just hanging out with friends and family. Thats the only thing I did other than race because I was whooped by the end of the day. I think I will make a return for Lorettas 2013, with a plan of saving it all for 25+, running only that class. A big thanks to the sponsors that have helped me with this trip and throughout the 2012 season: Ecs Honda, KB5, Troy Lee Designs, Scott Googles, All Balls Racing, Twin Air, Crower Power, Yoshimura, MGX Unlimited, Fat Mikes Powder Works, Boltzs RV Service, Amped Apparel, Foundation 529, Mike Futer, Mom & Dad, Karin, and the Buck family.

Jason Neidigh: 65 (10-11) Stk. 7th O/A and 85 (9-11) Stk. 34th O/AThis year at Lorettas I had a great time. I raced in two classes this year, which kept me busy the entire week. I had motos every day, including two motos on two different days. The hottest day was Tuesday, with a reported heat index of 111 degrees for my afternoon moto. My 1st moto in the 65 class was great, even though I got caught up in the first corner crash. I was way behind in last place and charged back to a 16th place finish. The 2nd moto was better. I finished in the top 10 for the first time at Lorettas and got to go to the impound area following the moto! After two motos I was sitting 9th overall and was excited for moto 3. The last moto was my best yet, again finishing in the top 10 and getting to go to the impound area for the second time. I finished 7th overall. I had a great time at Lorettas, and I want to go back next year and improve my overall position.

Mason Naecker: 51 (4-6) AMA 1 5th O/AThis year at Lorettas I had a lot of fun. Some of the things I liked the most were playing in the pool, jumping in the creek, and riding the BMX track, but most of all racing with and watching some of the fastest kids in the world.

Annie Wernig: Womens 14 plus 16th O/AThis year at Lorettas - My race results did not go as planned. I got 37th, 13th, and 9th place for 16th overall. I met some really nice guys who raced. I swam in the creek with friends and family. I got yelled at for not riding at the best of my ability. I got to watch many great racers race like Ricky Carmichael, Zach Bell, and Jordan Smith. I learned it was a learning experience for me. Next year I will come back stronger, faster, and in better shape.

Cody Groves: 65 (7-9) stk. 19th O/AThis year at Lorettas I got 21st, with a fall when I was in 15th or 16th in the first moto. In the second moto, someone wrecked me on the start. Then I climbed to 23rd at the checkered flag. In the 3rd moto, I got a last place start. I climbed up to 21st with no wrecks. I got an overall 19th. The week this year was better than last year. Overall I did pretty well this year! I also did fun stuff like playing in the pool and creek with my cousin, Zach, and my sister, Lindsey.

    JJ Jarvis finishes

    second in Girls (9-11).

    Former D 6 racer Addison

    Emory finishes 2nd O/A in 250 C

    Stock.

    Its where champions are born.

    NJ Senior class racer Jimmy

    Mcilvaine displays the true essence

of the Loretta Lynn racing experience.

    Congrats JMac on your finishes.

Jarrett Frye: 65 (7-11) Mod. 15th O/A and 85 (9-11) Stk. 14th O/A This year at Lorettas I made my goal to finish in the top 15 of the 85 9-11 Stock class in my first year. I also went to Antique Archaeology in Nashville from the TV show America Pickers. That place was awesome!!

Jude Kozel: 51 (4-6) Shaft Drive 2nd O/AThis year at Lorettas I had a fun time. I got second in the first moto and gave my first podium speech. I got second overall and am excited about winning the sword trophy, money and a go-pro camera. My favorite part of the track was the Kawasaki double. I was baptized in the stream by Pastor Cozadd as a sign of being forgiven for my sins by Jesus Christ. I also enjoyed other activities at Lorettas like playing in the stream, seeing catfish, getting free stickers and shirts, and driving my Traxxas on the r/c track.

Luke Palonicola: School Boy 2 33rd O/AThis year at Lorettas I tried to prepare myself as much as possible, more so then the prior years that I have made it there. Lorettas is a whole different level of racing, and this year I had some bike problems every race, which was a real bummer after all the time and effort I put into making it there again. I just have to take it as another learning experience and try my hardest to make it again next year.

Katie Benson: Girls (9-11) 14th O/AThis year at Lorettas was my first, and I had a lot of fun and hope to go back next year. My first moto was the worst of three. I got a bad start on my first moto that led me to hit a girls back tire and fall over. I got up and lost my head and tried to go too fast and fell two turns after that. I got up and was not looking at the breaking bumps. I stayed up for a little while, then crashed and went over the handlebars. I was sitting for a little because it knocked the wind out of me. I got a big strawberry on my arm. The girls in my class started lapping me. I got up again and finished the race. The first lap took me 6 minutes. The next moto I got a decent start. I was 9th before I fell, I ended up in 12th. The last moto I got a great start and did not fall, ended up in 10th, with a 14th overall.

Austin Daniels: 85 (9-11) Stk 36th O/A and 85 (9-11) Mod. 26th O/AThis year at Lorettas I met a lot of nice people from Kawasaki, including Ryan Villapoto, and want to thank all of my sponsors for helping me to get there. I loved the track, which was really sandy and very fast. The weather in Tennessee was unbelievably hot, and it only rained a few times to cool it off. Of course I got to do the rope swing. I cant wait to try for next year.

Jordan (JJ) Jarvis: Girls (9-11) 2nd O/AThis year at Lorettas I went 2-2-2 for 2nd overall in the Girls 9-11 class! Not the finish I wanted because I had bad starts, although I did have the fastest lap times in the first two motos. I also went as an alternate in the 85 9-11 mod class. Lorettas is always my favorite week of the year! I get to race and watch motocross all week long, hang in the

river and do all kinds of fun things. What more can you ask for??? My big brother Ryan Pattersons brother, Mark, his wife, Michele, and their boys (Ryan Patterson Motocross RPM Foundation) came to watch me race and hang out with me. This made my week even better!

Dakota Yohe: Open Pro Sport 9th O/A and 450A 12th O/A This year at Lorettas I had a pretty good week. I placed 9th overall in the Open Pro Sport and 12th overall in 450A. We learned some things and came home well!

Lauren Plate: Girls (12-15) 9th O/AThis year at Lorettas I had a lot of fun. I met a lot of new people and made a lot of new friends. I hung out with a lot of local friends that I knew and had a great time! All my motos were great and exciting. My first moto I was really nervous, but I got a good jump on all the girls, and I was like the 3rd girl out of the first turn!! Every moto I had a great start, and thats whats most important, the start, all week long. My second moto I did a good job on holding people off and keeping my spot! But my third moto was really scary and nerve-wracking. I was the second to last race of the day at 6:00 p.m. The track was terrible, and I fell twice and finished in 15th! But I went 9th, 10th and 15th. My amazing overall was 9th. I also went swimming, drove plenty of golf carts and had a great, fun, fantastic time. If you want to be able to watch motocross at any time during the day, Lorettas is the place to go and have fun!!

Jude Kozel races to 2nd O/A in the 50

Happy Ramblers MCAugust 12, 2012 By: Jim Mucklin Photography.com

I always like going to Happy - great people, good weather, good food and, yes, great racing. Its just a short ride on 15 and east on 116, easy. Ive got to say that the track was in excellent condition; whoever worked on it did a great job. This is one youve just got to ride.

Lets get to it. In 250C, Kyle Snider on the yellow machine stepped up his game with a (1-1), followed by Stansbury and Holt. 250A was Zak Riden (1-1), Weindel (2-2), and Coluzzi with a DNF in the first moto. But Coluzzi wasnt done; he came back with a (2-1) to win open A. Ride of the day was Carling with a (1-3) and Toth (3-2) going at it.

250B was the 523 KTM of Kirk Ryan (1-1), followed by Richards (2-3), and Sampson (4-4) got to watch Kirk do the helicopter pass on the tabletop. In the Open B, it was Colin Richards on the Kaw with a (1-1) over Johnson with a (3-2) MD. Junior Mini was all Gage Stine (2-2), smooth and consistent. He also had time to take a first in the 85B. Good day.

Many forget how easy it looks, and my hat is off to the riders I have watched move from 50s to A. To those whose love of the sport still keeps them riding at 50 years plus, I commend you. But when youre 4-6 and just starting, its got to be overwhelming on one of these rockets. If you think they are little bikes, put a stopwatch on them.

So with that I want to say thank you to all the fitties riders who came to race. First up was Jay Covert (2-1), followed by Stephens (1-2) and Augustine (3-3) in the open. How close is that? In the veterans fitties, thats 51 (7-8) was Mr. Holeshot of the day Daniel Stephens on the 67X with a (1-1), followed by Letterman (2-2), Michael (3-3) and Augustine (4-4).

Bar Bangin was all School Boy and College Boy. Want some fun? Run in the (12-16) School Boy. Corey Teasdale had a good day with a (1-1), followed by Holt Hipkins and Strevig in that order.

Want to step it up and rub some plastic? Try the College Boy. Willy Toth (1-1) and Carling (2-2) werent playin, it was all business. Johnson and Harrington were right there also.

And, yes, I didnt forget the ladies. I know its called the Womens class, but it is nice to see girls who conduct themselves like ladies on and off the track. It makes me proud to still be a part of this sport, and I know that whatever path these ladies choose in life they will do well. Dont get me wrong, these girls came to race, and race they did. Shayla Stephens went (1-1), Kelsey Green went (2-2) and Emily Ely ended with a (3-3).

Even the snack bar went (1-1) with the pit beef! Thanks Happy Ramblers for a great day, and thats the way I saw it.

Mainline at Pagoda MCAugust 4 5, 2012 By: Jim Bull Photo.com

The final round of the 2012 Mainline Series presented by Pagoda and Sleepy Hollow went down in early August. As has been the theme in 2012, the weather was hot and sticky with a slam bam thunderstorm right at the end. Matter of fact, the last couple of motos had to be canceled because of the downpour and flooded track conditions.

Prior to that, the racing was intense, with good turnouts at the gate. Sleepy Hollow head Jere Swarr was on hand keeping track of the last minute points battles and talking with the racers about the impending awards ceremony that will take place back at Pagoda in mid-September.

Many racers on hand for the day had just made the return trip back from Lorettas to catch this final round. Talk about warriors, traveling 1,000-miles-plus after racing in 105-degree heat just to dice it up some more on their home turf. Its one of the many things I love about this sport, it takes determination and dedication to get it done.

Watching the Olympics these last couple of weeks, it was obvious that it takes extreme effort to be a winner in any sport you participate in, and this one is no different. I know many are out just for the pure enjoyment of the ride and the competition it brings. To be at the top of your class, however, these young athletes, just like our Olympians, dedicate years to training and think only of their diets, the amount of rest they get and training in their particular specialty. Think about it, maybe we all could learn something from them?

Anyhow, its been a great series again in 2012 here at these two venues, and Im sure well see most of you again next time around. Well see you at the awards ceremony.

Motocross for Christ has just finished the second camp for the 2012 year and WOW! It was a blessed time with all of you who attended. I am very excited about the ministry and what God has in store for us in the upcoming years. We are on the verge of having our very own facility, and if all goes well, we hope to have it open to families and friends for practice in the 2013 season. This will be a place to come and ride and be refreshed by the spirit of God, so please watch our Facebook for more information (Motocross4Christ).

I wanted this month to talk about the importance of the short lives we live here on this earth that God has provided. We all one day will see the end, and we will all one day come before the Lord. I received an email the day after camp from a father who lost his son in the war and it made me cry. It reminded me of how short life is, and I wanted to share that email with all of you. I believe this young man lived life to the glory of God and lived life to its fullest, and we all need to understand something. Though we all love motocross, that is not the most important thing in our lives, it should be as Colossians 3:23 says, Do it with all of your heart as unto the Lord! I prayed this morning on what message to relay to Gods people and this email was laid on my heart, so I will let it speak for itself. Please read:

I just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for your ministry! I was back home in New York this past weekend for our annual family reunion, and I spoke with my cousins son. He told me how he had accepted Christ and how his walk with God and his faith has deepened since meeting Christ through your ministry. I am the vice president of Gold Star Fathers of Florida. This is an organization that reaches out to other fathers who have lost a son/daughter to the war. I lost my son last July. It has been the biggest test of my faith since becoming Christian 39 years ago. My son, Cpl. Frank R. Gross, was an exceptional young man. He was a gifted athlete and artist...had his masters degree at age 23, and in his short life span he accomplished much! His lifes motto was Col. 3:23, Do it with all of your heart as unto the Lord! I have a video that I could send you if you like. If you want it, feel free to show it to young people and use it to stress the importance of giving it all NOW - not later! That was why my son accomplished so much. He broke nine baseball records in high school, graduated with B.A. degree with honors and a masters degree with honors, and NEVER missed a class in college. He was a top four graduate in basic training from Fort Benning, a top graduate from A.I.T. School at Fort Gordon, in the accelerated Green to Gold program and was a member of the Ranger Long Range Surv. in Fort Hood, Texas. Well, once again I want to thank you for your ministry. My wife and I will pray for you. If you are ever in Florida, please let me know. I will make it a point to come out and see you compete on the track! I rode dirt bikes when I was younger, but at 58, I am moving in the direction of the Three Wheel Cam Am!!!

Bless you!My question to all of you

is this, Are you living the life God intended you to live, and are you living it to the fullest? God has given us this life to be happy, so live that life, but always remember this life is a gift from God. Everything you do should be to the glory of God, and that is the most important thing. My wife reminded me of this at camp. During creative learning time, she told the kids that the most important thing in their lives should be God and giving the glory to God, not motocross. Without motocross you can still live a full, abundant life, but without God, you cannot. This is so important to understand because we do not know when we will see our Lord or for some of us not see Him. If you have not received Jesus Christ yet, I beg you, please! Find him now for our days are so short here on earth and heaven is for all eternity. I love motocross, but this past year, I realized it is not motocross that fills me and makes me complete, it is Jesus Christ and the love he has for me. When I realized this, I truly started enjoying life and motocross more, and now I am able to do motocross with all of my heart and give the Glory unto God. For God is the one who is allowing us to be a part of something as special as this sport.

Friends, I leave you with this, as I read about this young man who accomplished so much, remember that he was doing it with all of his heart unto the Lord. Let your life be a living sacrifice to God, and let your life be something special, as this young mans was very special. God used him as a blessing for all of you, his life was filled with so much success in such a short time, and his life was witness for all of you to learn from. God has a time and place for all of us to depart, so live life to its fullest and Do it with all of your heart as unto the Lord!

    Blessings, Racing Rev. Roy
