Main character’s appearance and personality• Mr. Bean is a strange British man that seems to
gets in trouble in almost every daily activity• He rarely speaks• Mr. Bean is a good person but is making a
lot of mistakes and causes many accidents• Although he is strange, people like him• Mr. Bean often seems unaware of basic aspects of the
way the world works• Mr. Bean is mostly seen wearing a brown tweed suit, a
white shirt, a thin red tie, black trousers and black shoes.
• The famous painting - Whistler’s Mother - is going back to Los Angeles, USA
• The people at the National Gallery hate Mr. Bean and are sending him far far away….
• The staff at the Grierson Gallery are expecting an art expert and are getting Mr. Bean instead…
• Mr. Bean is arriving to USA and everything gets wrong
Main idea of the story
• Mr. Bean gets into very strange and funny situations such as:
1.He sneezed on the famous painting, got it wet and tried to dry it. He ruined the painting and had to make very creative moves to fix it.

2. Mr. Bean went to visit Jennifer at the hospital and he was identified by mistake as Doctor Bean and was asked to assist in an operation. He went in and although he didn’t understand what he was doing, he helped to take out a bullet from a man’s stomach

3. At the hospital - Mr. Bean tried to wake Jennifer up by making funny faces and shouting. When this didn’t work – he climbed on her bed and jumped on top of her. That woke Jennifer up!....

Character’s behavior
In general, I don’t agree with the way the main character behaves.Mr. Bean is not thinking enough before his actions. He is very childish and is making many mistakes that cause accidents.Most of the people around him think he is strange and stupid. Although the book is funny I don’t think of Mr. Bean as a positive hero.
