MR. ASHOK TANEJA DIRECTOR Mr. Ashok Taneja has been appointed as a Director of the GSB with effect from April 2021. He will also serve as a member of the Board’s Operations Committee. Ashok is Managing Director and Chief Mentor at Shriram Pistons & Rings Limited (SPR). Prior to this, he had been holding the office of Whole Time Director/Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer at SPR for over 20 years. Ashok is the Past President of ACMA. He has been the Chairman of Young Business Leaders’ Forum (YBLF), Chairman of ACMA Centre for Excellence and Co-Chairman for OEM Interface Committee. He is currently serving as Advisor – ACMA Centre of Excellence and also Advisor - ACMA Committee on Government Advocacy, Regulations & Research. He has represented the Indian auto component industry in various forums in India and abroad, for more than two decades. Ashok has also been a member of the National Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for many years. He is Co-Chairman of the Tata Motors National Vendor Council. He has also served as the President of Honda Cars India Suppliers Club and is currently their Advisor. He also serves on the Board of Bajaj Auto Vendor Association. He is on the Board of Governors of Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh since 2015. Ashok holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
