MIMO ‘s reliability, versatility,

and high bandwidth are ideal for maritime use – the 3x3 MIMO technology takes advantage of radio reflections off water, obstacles, and even steel walls within the depths of a vessel to maximize range and throughput whether communicating from the deck to the bowels of a ship or over the horizon.

STREAM HD VIDEOFor some time, the limiting factor for streaming HD video directly from an operator or vessel was the wireless communication link. Not anymore. The MPU5 can not only stream multiple HD videos simultaneously but also be used to encode and decode the video stream, optimizing it for any application. Now, real-time information exchange between the command center on shore and the boat on the water can occur more rapidly and reliably, increasing safety and security in ports and on coastlines.

INTELLIGENT ROIP TETHERINGMPU5’s Intelligent Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP) capability allows you to tether your current radios to an MPU5 device and bring them onto the Wave Relay® MANET. You can now leverage your current radio infrastructure as a networked resource rather than having them be incompatible with the Wave Relay® MANET. When segregated teams are responding to

the same situation, the RoIP feature allows you to eliminate the divide between teams from different organizations with incompatible communications equipment- all with one simple cable. Instead of creating a new network for your current radios, simply bring them on the network as an asset.
