Bay Area punk rock group Heartsounds will release their third full-length album, Internal Eyes, on October 18th via Flix Records (Cargo / Plastic Head Distribution) in Europe. In anticipation for the

upcoming release Heartsounds has premiered a new song titled “The World Up There”

Internal Eyes was recorded, mixed, and, mastered at Castle Ultimate Studios in Oakland, CA in June & July of 2013. The band once again called on producer/engineer Zack Ohren for the production of the album, resulting in what can only be considered the most sonically impressive and aesthetically pleasing Heartsounds record to date. While 2009’s Until We Surrender marked the band’s debut effort, tracked solely between Guitarist/Vocalists Ben Murray and Laura Nichol, Internal Eyes is the second full-length album (after last year’s Drifter) to include drummer Trey Derbes as a crucial songwriting partner to the group. Internal Eyes also marks the first album with bassist Bobby Taul, who helps in achieving a more solidified and tighter-knit rhythm section than ever before.

“A lot has happened to all four of us in the last two years since the release of Drifter, and we are now in a place as a band that feels more natural and fun than ever, and I feel like this shows through on these 10 new songs” says Murray. “We’re not a band that cares about much besides writing the best possible record we can at any given point in our lives, both personally and musically. The EP was written, recorded and produced by highly productive Niels Höjgaard Sörensen - the man behind Stöj Snak - and follows Planned Obsolescence and Songs About Beliefs, both released in 2012 through

5FeetUnder Records and TNS Records. The FUCK EP, however, is released without any labels and available for pay-what-you-want.

Niels has musical roots deep in the underground soil and he has travelled most of Europe and even as far as Russia with the melodic hardcore band Mighty Midgets and during the last year with Stöj Snak. Both bands have a number of releases under their belt and has reached great acclaim in the underground but remained below the mainstream radar.Stöj Snak moves towards a more folky sound but remains true to the DIY ethics and political outlook of the punk scene. It also does not take long to find the punk energy in Stöj Snak’s music which has been described as if Bob Dylan started a punk band – especially live where Stöj Snak, only armed with just a guitar, a harmonica and a lamp, have incited to heavy sing-along and well as both mosh pits and crowd surfing.

They play high-energy garage/punk, which has a 50’s twist to it. The music is delivered

with ferocity, honesty and precision. It’s twangy, intense and full of raw power. The band is a tight combination of catchy riffs and vocal hooks, backed up by a solid rhythm. After seeing them live in the north-west many times, and following their awesome gig for us last year, we had to get involved in their forthcoming album ‘Stepford Smiles’.They are an exceptionally hard-working band. Both in playing a large amount of gigs across the UK and in supporting the punk scene in York. The Franceens fight for DIY punk rock and believe in supporting your local live music scene, whilst also trying to discover and support new bands from further afield. Having also released their debut EP entitled ‘Duck and Cover’ on their own DIY label, which is available now for free from their facebook page, we knew that they fully fitted in with the TNS ethos!

To celebrate the Franceens joining the TNS family they have released a brand new video for the track ‘Attack’, which is taken from the EP ‘Duck and Cover’. You can check it out on youtube now. From the country of Zorba and Tzatziki these guys will fuck up your stereo. Omixlh are coming from Thessaloniki,Grecee and for more than 15 years are the pride of underground streetpunk scene, with a

sincere attitude and full of passion and anger.

Their first album was released in 1996-Antitthesi (that means in English Opposition), two years later they did a split cassette with Karkinoma : Egklovismenoi stin mizeria (Trapped In Misery).

They have started to tour around Grecee and in 2001 comes the first official release: I diki mas kathimerinotita (Our Everyday Life).

After a lot of struggling in the underground and some line up changes the band release in 2003 a 7” album: Eternal Alive. Soon they started again to tour in Slovakia,Holland,Germany,Romania

and also they have appeared in some compilations.In 2007 the best album of their own is released: Friends For Ever, Punks For Life and again in 2009 the same album was released by Joe Pogo Records (different cover and attitude like they say) and the latest material Legion Of Freak again by the same Joe Pogo Records. All in all a band that if you like The Casualties, GBH, or any hardcore/punk band you should listen and give them a try.

This is theier 6 studio album and probably one of their best, 12 tracks in the pure metalcore, full of force, along with awseome lyrics, packed in a nice design (like all their albums).From the first to last track this album is full of force, angry and melodic riffs, finest metalcore from one of the best acts in this genre (only if we think about the members and their past bands like Blood Has Been Shed, Aftershock,Overcast). This album is a blast for your ears and soul and a must have even if you are not a metal addict. 10+ for everything on this release and 10+ for Roadrunner bands.

Mirceone (MPTY ZINE)-Hey guys. Congrats for the album.how are things in the celtic Madrid?

Brutus Daughters: Thank you very much! It took us a bit longer than expected to release it, but there it is at last! Things in Madrid are going on as always, not a very powerful Celtic scene, but we hope it will change in the near future and more people start spreading it!

For the people who don,t know your name,tell us something about the band...how you guys started?

We started 5 years ago, when a group of four girls decided to form a punk folk band and look for someone who could play bagpipes. That was our main goal, then other members fortunately joined the band and we began playing in some pubs until we could support ourselves financially our first album. Although there have been some changes in the band formation up to now, since three of the former members left the band due to work requirements and three more had to leave also due to the same circumstances, it is true that the original spirit hasn’t died away, but increases as time goes by. Brutus’ Daughters is a group of friends who enjoy playing together and do their best to continue on the scenarios. And concerning the name’s origin….well, we chose Brutus because we wanted to show that not always heroes are the ones who triumph, but also anti-heroes like Popeye’s enemy, so that what we are…the real bastard daughters of the hero’s enemy :D

I read that you have shared the stage with Mahones,personal i am a big fan of finny and co. speaking of them did you have listen the new album.

It’s a great work, we’re looking forward to going to another gig, we’re lucky that they come to Spain very often!What can you tell me about the second album,specially because is a diy album and i know is hard to do something independent these days... Our second album follows the same criteria of our first one, since we have recorded and produced with what we have earned in gigs and selling merchandising. It’s not difficult to keep being independent, but sometimes it takes more time to get an objective, like releasing an album or organizing some gigs together. Being under the direction of a discography is not such a bad idea, who knows…

Speaking of celtic folk and punk...from where you have the influences.

Each band member has brought up listening to different music styles, but we share a common punk folk taste, above all from North American bands, which mix punk music with Celtic instruments and melodies.

What is the band message that you want to be heard?

Our message is not a complicated one, we use our music not just to have a nice time playing together, which is true, but also as a means to communicate what we consider unfair in our society. Most of our songs deal with everyday injustices that each of us experience or witness and we can’t help it, it does influence our composition as much as we find inspiration in our surroundings.

Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, The Dubliners, The Clash and Flatfoot 56.

Regarding the concerts,where can you be seen in the near future?

We are now organizing a tour through Spain and who knows, maybe abroad also. Going to Romania would be a pleasure, too!!

If you will make a split cd with one band,that you like it,what band will be?

That’s not an easy question, we’ve got lots of bands in mind, but maybe we’d choose two bands from Spain, Drink Hunters or Fucking Fuckers, we’ve been friends for long time.

Mahones or Flogging Molly? Both of them, we can’t answer to this question!!

What plans you have for the future...another album,shows...what do you guys do besides the band?

For the time being we are going to enjoy our second album on stage, but there are some songs which have already being started, ideas are always growing inside and if everything goes as expected, we’ll spend next year playing and composing new stuff.
