SCENARIOS

Method:We ideated and sketched out possible user scenarios by analyzing various patient types from our user research.

User Pool:Discharged patients, hypochondriacs, caregivers, parents, students, health professionals, etc.

Core Behaviors:Concise and trusted references, peer-to-peer advice, quick and easy to use, straightforward, clutter-free, pleasant to use.

Opportunities Identified:P2P community network, reminders for health related activities, web-based or mobile application

Method:We created a survey and received over 40 responses from the internet and 10 from in person. We asked individuals about their health information and what they search when visiting a health website such as WebMd, mayo client and Meddik.

Findings:Out of the 50 responses many people did not want to be contacted again for a follow up interview. Some were confused about their medical condition. They found websites to be non beneficial.

Opportunities Identified:Create a trusted peer to peer platform that allow users to exchange information about their health condition. Also, to make a mobile app which users can easily find information about their health needs.

Method:We contacted new users and tested out the first iteration. We asked them another set some question being more directed to their needs on a health website and what they disliked

Findings:Most of the user preferred using a desktop and not a smartphone. They were more comfortable reading health information at home and not in public. Users felt comfortable to engaged on peer to peer sharing before contacting a doctor about health question.

Opportunities Identified:Create a simple navigation so user aren’t overwhelm.
