How the Library Staff can help

Why not visit the Library for books / DVDs and other

resources?

How do I join the Library? To borrow books you will need to join the Library. It’s simple to join, just complete a library membership form and provide proof of identification (preferably an NHS ID card) and your home address. http://www.tamesidehospital.nhs.uk/Documents/LibraryMembershipForm.pdf Borrowing books / DVDs Staff are on hand during week days to help you find what you need. You can borrow up to10 books (or 3 DVDs) at a time. These can be renewed, unless they have been requested by another member. You can also reserve items which are on loan. Online catalogue You can access the Library’s online catalogue via the Trust Intranet. This will enable you to check book availability, and renew or reserve books. http://tghapp01/heritage/ Inter Library Loan Service We can obtain books that are not immediately accessible, through our contacts and professional networks. There is generally no charge for this.

How the Library Staff can help (cont)

Need to get away from the phone? The Library provides a quiet space in which to work. Or come and use the Library’s computers. No need to book. . Web searching We have a suite of PCs which can be used to search the Internet. You can also use them for word processing and other Microsoft Office applications. 24/7 access You have access to the Library and IT suite 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply obtain a swipe card from the Security department in the Charlesworth Building. You will need to take your NHS ID with you. Help with setting up job alerts You can set up alerts from most job sites. These will alert you to new vacancies. If you need help setting this up, please ask the library staff.
