war• Radios were an easy way for people to stay involved with the war• Each day dramas, comedies, action, romantic, and children’s

programs were played over the radio• Superman and Lone Ranger were popular children’s radio programs

during the war• The government was worried about the stress of women during the

war so they made radio programs such as “workers playtime” which would broadcast on factory floors while the women worked

• Comics were also a popular pass time during the war that took peoples minds off the everyday stress of war

• The most popular comic strips were Blondie, Little Orphan Annie,

Terry and the Pirates, Dick Tracy, and The Gumps.
