EXAMPLE MOVIE REVIEW
The short film “Most” is a passionate twenty-nine-minute work of art. The movie is about the different kinds of lives people live; ironically while being in the same town and encountering one another at various times. “Most” is primarily centered on a young boy and his father who literally live to love one another, and as the movie unfolds they are forced to face a major decision on whether to sacrifice for others or to live for their selves.
Bobby Garabedian, director and co-writer of the film, showed massive directing and writing abilities when creating this piece, which shows unity and emotion every second of the film. The actors were perfectly cast together, from Lado (Ladislav Ondrej) to his father (Vladimir Javorsky) to the troubled girl (Linda Rybova), who are the main characters whose lives are changed the most in the film. The original music, created by John Debnev specifically for this film, really brought life to every scene, especially the climactic moments. The music was perfectly put together and harmonious to one’s ear, despite the fact that not many scenes included a big statement in regards to their soundtrack.
“Most” is a story of hope, love, and purpose. The story serves as a reminder of the true meaning of life and what really matters, a message geared towards modern society’s inclination to living a life so caught up in the moments. People are naturally drawn to the movie’s humane aspect, and are intrigued to find out what their actions would be if they ever found themselves in that same position. I think the best trait of the film is that it leaves you with a positive thought on how everything works out for the best in the end, and how everything is worth it, even when pain is the main experience. “Most” is a film which shows true love, the way it’s been forgotten but should always be remembered.
