Next to Nothing Next to Nature

From the invention of Next to Nothing launched in 2008 as one of the lightest fabrics in the world weigh-ing only 25 g/sqm to the later update weighing a mere 19 g/sqm Yeti has been a forerunner within advanced fabrics for garments and sleeping bags.

The Next to Nothing fabric is still availoable in a wide range of products from the Companyon range of gar-ments to the Passion and Fever Zero sleeping bag.

A few years ago the Next to Nature fabric was pre-sented as the first nylon fabric ever to be made partly from plant-based oil instead of traditional fossil oil.Next to Nature is presently available in the Gecco sleeping bag.

But also other materials have been on the Yeti stage for years including the Moveskin fabric defined by being extremely soft, extremely stretchable and with a built-in property of effectively absorbing moisture and reducing smell.

This is due to the fact that Moveskin fabric is based on fibres made from coffee grounds which absorbs body moisture like sweat and radically reduces the smell from being active. This keeps the user comfortable and dry dramatically improving the feel good factor.

Next to Nothing is an exclusive Yeti fabric developed to be both breathable, soft, down proof, packable and extremely light.

The secret behind the extreme lightness is the ultra fine thread with a diameter of only a fraction of a human hair.

Next to Nothing comes without coating and down bags which allows the down to breathe freely so it naturally regulates temperature and moist.

Yeti was the first company in the world to introduce a product made from plant based nylon enabling nature lovers to protect nature while enjoying it.

The eco-friendly nylon, called Next To Nature, is based on renewable plant oil from the Ricinus plant instead of scarce fossil oil.

The Ricinus-plant is a non-food plant that grows mainly on dry wasteland and does not occupy farming land – and it requires significantly less water and resources.

Next to Nature is just as functional as traditional nylon as it is breathable and feels as soft as silk – and moreover it is antistatic and PA-coated for water resistance.

Moveskin is a high-stretch technical fabric feeling both very soft and at the same time offering a very distinct freedom of move-ment, hence the name Moveskin.

Moveskin fabric is based on microscopic recycled coffee particles which are implanted in the fabric and therefore cannot be washed out.

The coffee particles offers a high breathability and has a built in ability to transport moisture from the inside and out.

Moreover coffee is well-known for its ability to control odour and Moveskin therefore acts as a powerful odour barrier – a perfect feature for high performance fabric.

Redflex is thermo-reactive minerals in the fibre absorbing the heat emitted by the body.

This molecular ”mirror” reflects the heat as infrared energy through infrared light which penetrates deep into the tissue promoting and improving thermal regulation.

It is scientifically proven that RedFlex increases the oxygene level in the blood and increases blood circulation meaning higher performance power and quicker recovery.

It also dries up faster and retains heat longer than polyester. More-over it protects better against UV and improves the quality of sleep.

Tecnowool is made from 100% recycled and processed high-quality wool deriving from Italy. It has a very low low carbon footprint.

Tecnowool is ecological and very environmentally friendly as it is free from chlorine and therefore can be worn directly on the skin.

The two-surface design wicks the perspiration quickly away from the skin, while the wool outers absorb this moisture and allow it to evaporate leaving the user dry.

It is highly functional and can be machine washed.
