Vertical position : calculation principle

LBOC - 22/11/2011 D. Missiaen

IR1- vertical

Global tendancy to go upwards Realignment ot be envisaged for Q3 and Q2L and Q2 and Q3R

Page 6: Movements of the low beta quadrupoles

6

LBOC - 22/11/2011 All within +-0.2 mrad – No degradation D.

IR1- Roll angle

LBOC - 22/11/2011 D. Missiaen

IR2- vertical

Very stable except Q1R2

Page 8: Movements of the low beta quadrupoles

8

LBOC - 22/11/2011 Very stable – No degradation D.

IR2- Roll angle

LBOC - 22/11/2011 D. Missiaen

IR5- vertical

Q2L is a bit strange – otherwise rather stable

10

LBOC - 22/11/2011 After correction fo 2011 : OK D.

IR5- Roll angle

11

LBOC - 22/11/2011 D. Missiaen

IR8- vertical

Tendancy to go upwards on the Left side – Right is rather stable

LBOC - 22/11/2011 D. Missiaen

IR8- roll angle

Q3 and Q2L are a bit far

LBOC - 22/11/2011

In IR 1 and 5, 2 points in the SU gallery were calculated in Summer 2009 and considered as fixed

In pt 2 and 8, calculation is fixed on Q1 and Q3 on each side. For this purpose new sensors, independant from triplets, have been installed beginning 2011D.

Transversal position : calculation principle

LBOC - 22/11/2011 D. Missiaen

IR1- transversal

Slight degradation - Rotation of many magnets especially Q2L

Page 15: Movements of the low beta quadrupoles

15

LBOC - 22/11/2011 D. Missiaen

IR2- transversal

Very small movements

LBOC - 22/11/2011 D. Missiaen

IR5- transversal

Relative degradation on the Left side. Ok on right side

IR8- transversal

Very few data ….. But seems to be stable

LMC - 02/03/2011

Absolute Vertical measurements will be done during the Winter TS No movement will be done until we have the results IP1 :

V : Q3 and Q2 on each side to be lower H : rotation of Q2L

IP2 V : Q1R to be lowered H : nothing

IP5 V : Q3L to be lowered H : all magnets on the L side

IP8 V : Q3 and Q2L to be lowered, roll angle to be adjusted H : nothing
