Certification Explanation

CERTIFICATIONAll Mountz analyzers andtransducers are supplied witha NIST-TraceableCertification of Calibration.

CALIBRATION SERVICESMountz offers calibration services for all of our own equipment, as well as models from most othermanufacturers. The certificate supplied with each calibration has been revised to include new contentand an easy-to-read modular format. All calibrations are performed using NIST-Traceable standards,and meet the requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540.

EXTERNAL TRANSDUCERS

CALIBRATION INTERVALSIn order to maintain accuracy, it is crucial that torque control and measuring equipment be calibratedregularly. We recommend general six (6) month calibration intervals. However, it is the user sorganization that must determine suitable interval frequencies commensurate with their needs basedupon many factors such as history of equipment performance, application, degree of usage, andmanagement objectives.

QUALITY STANDARDSTo meet customer requirements, we begin with compliance to stringent, world-class quality standards.- Mountz is an ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 registered company.- Design and testing of all hand tools conforms to requirements of ISO 6789, as specified.- Laboratory operations and calibrations meet the requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1.

SUPPLIERIdentifies name and location of laboratory issuing certificate as well as certificate number.

EQUIPMENT TESTEDEasy identification of tool type, maximum capacity, serial number, and accuracy. Also indicates arrivalcondition of tool, service performed, calibration date, interval, and due date.

STANDARDS USEDIdentifies procedure and equipment used to perform the calibration, as well as test accuracy ratio.

MEASUREMENT DATAGives the nominal point(s) at which the tool was tested, tolerances, actual measurement beforeadjustment and after, environmental conditions during test, and other associated data.

CERTIFICATIONSection for approval of certificate content by authorized signatories. Also includes statement ofcompliance with relevant calibration standards and NIST-Traceability.

This symbol identifies the products that aresupplied with NIST-Traceable Certificationof Calibration.

CERTIFICATION

EXPLANATION

1.1

In the case of external transducer and display systems, it is preferable and sometimes required thatall parts of a system be calibrated together. When purchasing external transducers, the Certificateof Calibration can only be supplied where transducers are purchased and calibrated together witha display monitor as a complete measuring system. Otherwise, only a certificate indicating transducerperformance to specification is supplied, and calibration of the transducer to a display unit is stillrequired for proper operation.

External transducers submitted to the Laboratory for after-sale calibration service without a displayunit, will be calibrated using an equivalent calibrated display held in the laboratory whenever possible.Otherwise, the customer will be contacted to deliver their display unit when required to completethe calibration process.
