(MVW) is a Montana based company actively engaged in the exploration, production and development of oil and gas properties in eastern Montana and western North Dakota to develop the Bakken and Three Forks Shale project. Also, the Company is actively engaged in the South Alberta Bakken play in North Central Montana, east of the Northern Rocky Mountain Front. The common shares of Mountainview Energy Ltd. trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol MVW. MVW has been financed to purchase 11,200 acres in Sheridan County, in North Eastern Montana and Divide County, North Dakota. The Stateline Project acreage is in the Williston Basin, in the Bakken/Three Forks Play. Their cost was US $600 an acre for property that is now selling for US $2,000 an acre. Mountainview has commenced operations in the Williston Basin with a working interest of 12.5% in the Olson Ranch 1-21-16H. GeoResources Inc. (GEOI) is operating this well. Mountainview has also just learned that it has a 12.5% working interest in a Marathon Oil temporary spacing unit in Southern Sheridan County. This well is planned to be drilled in the third or fourth quarter of this year. In addition to their non-operated Bakken wells, MVW is applying for their own drilling permits to aggressively pursue the Bakken/Three Forks play. MVW has agreed to acquire the Lake Frances property (60,000 acres) that is in the Alberta/Bakken area of Southern Alberta, Canada and North Central Montana. This acquisition is currently waiting on Exchange approval. This acquisition consists of 43 producing gas wells, a 40-mile gathering system, and 3 gas compression plants. It is tied into the Northwestern Gas transmission system. This property shows exceptional promise for oil in the Sunburst, Mississippian, Bakken Shale, Three Forks Shale, Nisku, and Duperow formations. The Alberta/Bakken play is currently being drilled by companies such as Shell, Rosetta Resources Inc. (ROSE), Newfield Exploration (NFX), Anschutz Exploration, Crescent Point, and many others.
