Welcome to the 2015 Aaronic Priesthood Encampment

Dear Young Men of the Aaronic Priesthood,

We are excited to have you here. We want you to have a wonderful experience while you are here. The theme of the Encampment is taken from Alma 53:20 which reads: “And they were all young men, and they were exceedingly valiant for courage, and also for strength and activity; but behold, this was not all—they were men who were true at all times in whatsoever thing they were entrusted.” This scripture refers to the 2000 stripling warriors from the Book of Mormon—the 2000 sons of Helaman. What great examples of righteous and courageous young men they were. Today, the Lord needs righteous and courageous young men more than ever. He has a work for you to do. He needs you to become the leaders of His kingdom here on earth in these latter days—in your homes, in His Church and as an example to those around you. The 2000 sons of Helaman rose and met their challenges in their day with great courage and strength. You young men will rise up and meet your challenges in your day with great courage and strength. At this Aaronic Priesthood Encampment you will find many activities and events—some fun, some exciting, some challenging, and some of a spiritual nature. Please participate fully in this Encampment with as many activities and events that you can. We ask that you focus on the spiritual opportunities that you will have at this Encampment. What you gain from this Encampment will be commensurate with the effort that you put into this Encampment. We love you. We pray the Lord’s choicest blessings upon you during this Encampment and as you move forward with your lives, preparing to become the great men that Heavenly Father desires you to be. President Robert K Andelin—Encampment Chairman President Bruce Grow—Encampment Vice-Chairman Dean Moody—Encampment Steering Committee Chairman
