Mount Pleasant Primary School’s Vision:At Mount Pleasant Primary School (MMPS) our focus is to provide a stimulating learning
environment and accept accountability and responsibility to make sure that all children are achieving to their maximum potential. Academic rigour is valued at all stages and the classroom
focus is on challenge, engagement and achievement. Learning is celebrated in all its forms.

This business plan sets the direction for Mount Pleasant Primary School from 2018 to 2020. Our key objectives and strategies demonstrate that at Mount Pleasant Primary School we are committed to providing a stimulating,
innovative learning environment that encompasses best teaching practices to ensure high expectations and success for every student. Working together we will drive success!
Five Focus areas are described in our Mount Pleasant Primary School Business Plan. These areas are focussed on the needs and aspirations of our students, our staff, parents and other stakeholders.

1.1 - Promote and sustain high expectations of success for every student in the school.
STRATEGY: SUCCESS MEASURE:
Teachers deliver high quality teaching by articulating, modelling and visibly displaying high expectations for all students’ needs.
Success looks like: Visible extension and challenge in classrooms, and MPPS student survey indicate that teachers deliver high quality teaching.
Develop a shared vision and language of visible learning between teachers, students.
Success looks like: Teachers providing lesson intent and feedback to students, enabling insight for students to be self-regulated learners.

Provide diverse student leadership roles of responsibility, at a class, whole school and community level. Staff celebrate student success across all school domains and provide effective feedback appropriate to students’ learning.
Success looks like: Students participating in leadership responsibilities and celebrations.Students indicate, through a student survey, that feedback is provided effectively, supporting their learning.
Provide opportunities for students to focus on their mental health and well-being.
Success looks like: Mindfulness and meditation activities across the school, on a daily basis, as part of ‘readiness for learning’.

Evidence based feedback is provided through performance management processes to improve teachers’ practice based on the AITSL standards.
Success looks like: High expectations and standards are articulated through class observations, coaching, mentoring, peer review and feedback, supporting and/or inducting all staff.
