FOAM PRODUCTIONFULLY AUTOMATED AND FLEXIBLE MOULDING PROCESS

The design and development centre is located at our main factory in Sykkylven, where our technical and marketing expertise is based.

With our expertise we are building moulds manually, from modeling to the finished mould, but more and more customers choose moulds CNC-milled directly from 3D-drawings.

CNC-milling of moulds are produced at our own company, Shape AS.

The raw materials are transferred through closed computer-controlled systems. This ensures uniform quality and maximum usage of the raw materials.

MECHANICALPRODUCTION OF STEEL AND ALUMINUM INSERTS WITH BOTH MANUAL- AND ROBOT WELDING

We are using modern welding technologies and provides welding of steel and aluminum.

Expertise in development of steel- and aluminum inserts, often in close co-operation with customers to secure optimized product solutions.

Use of laser cutted welding jigs secures products of high quality.

QUALITY AND COMFORT

The high degree of elasticity and the good side support provide the correct sitting comfort no matter where you sit in the furniture.

Moulding also has the advantage that it is possible to adjust the softness and elasticity completely to the requirements of each individual product.

Moulded cold cure foam has high quality scores regards compression set and sag factor – This describes the foam`s ability to take pressure without collapsing.

Additional to the customer-specific components, Sandella has developed our own collection of standard products. This is models with low start-up costs where moulds, inserts and jigs already exists. The products are developed to keep the production costs to a minimum level.

Gliding chairs that can be combined in numerous ways regards seats, backs and arm rests. We can provide gliding mechanisms adapted to the different components.

Lounge chairs which provides our customers with unique opportunities to easily implement and adapt to already developed models in their ranges.

INTEGRAL SKIN FOAMINTEGRAL SKIN FOAM HAS HIGHER WEIGHTS AND DENSER SURFACES AND IS AMONG OTHERS USED IN OFFICE CHAIR ARMRESTS, TRUCK SEATINGS, LIFEBOAT COMPONENTS AND MEDICAL EQUIPMENT.

Integral skin foam are produced at our factory in Lithuania, UAB Superlon Baltic.

Integral skin foam is offered in different colours and surface structures.

In the same way as for cold cure moulded foam the integral skin foam can be produced with integrated load-bearing inserts as plastic, steel, wood and aluminum.

LOGISTICS / MARKET

ENVIROMENTThe use of moulded PUR foam creates less production waste material the the use of cut foam blocks. Sandella works towards defined environmental goals. Sandella Fabrikken As is Eco-Lighthouse certified (certificate no. 373).

Eco-Lighthouse is an environmental certificate issued by the Norwegian government for small and medium-sized enterprises. It is based on the same principles as the EMAS and ISO 14001 environmental standards, but is less extensive.

This means that Sandella Fabrikken, among other things, works to sort and recycle all production and operation waste. Sandella Fabrikken issues an environmental report for each year.
