What is MOTYFF?• MOTYFF is part of a Flemish microsimulation
project: FLEMOSI, 2010 – 2013
• InGRID: experiences of Motyff to develop similar online-tools for other European countries

What is MOTYFF?• MOTYFF: webtool for calculation of net
disposable family incomes• Based on information entered by user: family
composition, socio-economic status, wages, benefits, child care, …
• Changes in net disposable income as a consequence of changes in the family (e.g.: head of the family becomes unemployed) or policy changes
5
What is MOTYFF?
• + retirement simulator (University of Liège) • MOTYFF is based on Euromod • Some Flemish policies were added to the
model • Based on policies of June 2012
6
What is MOTYFF?• Developed for policymakers and civil society• User is lead through the input screens • A lot of knowledge about social and fiscal
legislation is not required • Next to webtool: stand alone version for
academics • Not dependent on survey data: effects of policy
changes can be detected faster + quicker anticipation on policies
