Thomas A. Edison & Edwins Porter•Thomas A. Edison Inc. and producer Edwin S Porter made a famous film known as “The Old Maid Having her Picture Taken”•The film shows the maid looking at a hanger with photo samples that fall onto the ground. The clock suddenly speed up and also falls to the ground. She looks into the mirror and it cracks into several pieces. She sits and poses for her picture and the camera explodes. The camera completely destroys the studio. •The film was created in July of 1901.

Live orchestra would be played during silent films.

Thomas Edison began working on developing sound for films during the year 1888.

His experiment become successful between the years of 1895 - 1913.

It was Charles first classic comedy film he produced and directed.

In the movie he plays the little tramp who discovers an abandoned orphaned baby and he raises the child as his own. He does not let the child be taken by the orphanage officials but the mom demands the child back.
