Mothers Making More (M3) helps working, single mothers in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties to go back to school, advance their careers in a targeted area and lays the

groundwork for a brighter, better tomorrow.

Helping Financially Struggling Families

MEASURABLE IMPACT M3 not only helps working moms kick-start their education, it continues to offer guidance throughout their education and career journeys.

• Addresses disproportionate levels of poverty among female heads of households in the region

• Working mothers who maintain employment and pursue a degree that is part of a growing career field receive:

• Access to supports, including childcare services, counseling, technology, mileage reimbursement, networking, and more

• Counseling for any domestic or sexual violence issues

• Hands-on support from the M3 staff and fellow M3 moms

• Career education, training and skill-building opportunities (resume writing, mock interviews, etc.)

• Access and connections to job leads, hiring managers and human resource professionals from local employers

• Employers are encouraged to participate by providing female employees heading households opportunities to advance their education in targeted careers at little or no cost

• The program continues to expand, growing to include more services, discounts and scholarships
