Real Food Fair

For the “Real Food Fair” the inspiration for the organiz-ers was a cosy farm where products are shortest path from production to the buy-er, with all the vitamins and all the pallet of taste. The whole point of the pro-ject is reflected in its slogan: “If you can’t go to the farm, the farm comes to you.”

You are invited to visit the authentic farm and buy the best products in the heart of the capital. About forty farmers and small produc-ers will present their prod-ucts.

In the modern metropolis it’s so difficult to find quali-ty products - supermarkets offer mostly industrial pro-duction, the use of which is sometimes unhealthy. What to do for city dwellers?

That’s right, buy products from farmers - and only the freshest ones that are made with love and care. You will say: “With Moscow and Regions traffic it’s to spend six or seven hours on the road ... Not too pleasant prospect?”But, there is a way – this weekend the farm is coming to you!

“Real Food” - a project in-spired by the cosy European Markets with friendly spirit and good quality products.

A star of Irish humour that will visit Moscow in the festi-val MIC Fest, will be Tommy Tiernan. Career of this comedian is already firmly established on the stages of the country. Tommy will be performing at the Central House of Actors on March 21st.

Central House of the actor by the name of AA Yabloch-kina35, Arbat Str.m. Smolenskayawww.irishweek.ru

The first ever concert in Russia of the uniquely wild and eccentric Irishman,

Tommy Tiernan.

In 2009, Tommy Tiernan set the Guinness World Record for the longest stand-up comedy show by an individual achieving 36 hours and 15 in Gal-way, Ireland.

Thankfully he recov-ered from the ordeal and is now continuing a re-cord-breaking rout across the world, performing in the UK, USA, Canada, and two performances at The Sydney Opera House.

The irrepressible stand-up comic is finally making his Russian debut as part of his European tour.

One of the funniest and most incisive stand-up comedians in Europe to-day, Tommy is celebrated for his wild vocal style, the boundless energy of his stand-up routine and his satirical insights of the human condition. He has an elaborate take on top-ics that most comedians would dare not touch.

Thanks to his unique sto-rytelling gift and excellent acting abilities this has the canny effect of both shocking his audiences and sending them into paroxysms of laughter.

Now he must return home at the request of his ailing fa-ther, who wishes to see his granddaughter before it’s too late. But things take a turn for the absurd when Ray realises his daughter and her mother have built a new life with his former P.E. teacher, a controlling and regimented figure who is the direct opposite of Ray. How-ever, Hooley soon discovers a new music genre, punk rock, and is inspired by its youthful vitality to become an important record produc-er and promoter of the local scene. In doing so, Hooley would struggle both with the industry’s realities and his chaotic personal life that threaten to consume him. The Equinox Day

An equinox occurs twice a year, around 20 March and 22 September.

The word itself has several related definitions.

The oldest meaning is the day when daytime and night are of approximately equal duration.

The word equinox comes from this definition, de-rived from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night).

This year the Equinox will take place on March 21st.

An important milestone of the seasons is the vernal equinox - March 21, astro-nomical beginning of spring.

The onset of spring, our an-cestors considered a holi-day, eagerly awaiting his ar-rival (as we do now!)

And equally magnificent-ly celebrated it in different parts of Europe and Asia.

Pagan celebration of the ar-rival of spring were filled with important sacred meaning victory of light over dark-ness, awakening all life and start a new life.

The ancient spring festival took place with joy and ritu-als calling fertility of the land and the well-being of peo-ple.

Slavs celebrated the end of winter and the arrival of spring on March 22, the day was called Larks (in honour of the return of migratory birds). On this day, baked dough Bleater and small birds, which welcomes spring. It was after the holiday be-gan The Maslenitsa, which is now celebrated by the Orthodox calendar and that every year falls on different dates.

According to the most an-cient Slavic legends, the Equinox Day revealed the heavenly realm of the gods, Svarga, and descended to the earth of the goddess “Zhiva-Vesna” (“Spring alive”- in English)

By the other slav legend Vernal equinox - this is the happiest day for all the peo-ple and at the same time the worst. Happy he is due to the fact that the day has finally caught up with the night after a long winter.

A terrible that day because it is one of the four days of the year, when the “bad spirits” has almost complete au-thority on earth, and enjoys it.

In some places in Russia to-day the “Larks celebration” is still held, people bake bread looking like Larks, construct special home for the real birds that come back from winter migration and give them food.
