Total ProductionIn 2010, $263.5 million was generated through the county’s agricultural and forestry production sector.
Agricultural Production Poultry and egg production was the largest agricultural commodity, contributing 76.9 percent of the county’s total agricultural and forestry production.
The second largest was cattle, which contributed 5.9 percent of the county’s total agricultural and forestry production.
The third largest was soybeans, which contributed 2.7 percent of the county’s total agricultural and forestry production.
Morgan County also ranked second in the state in dairy cattle and milk production.

Forestry ProductionTimberland accounted for 52.5 percent of the surface land of Morgan County. Total forestry production contributed 4.3 percent of the county’s total agricultural and forestry production.
