in memory of their daughter, Sonya Danell Biano and her grandmother Bertha Morgan Biano who's father donated the original land for Morgan Cemetery.Note 4: Baby Page Marker reads, "This marker is a dedication to the founders of this cemetery. This grave site was selected by Louis Collins in 1887 as the resting place for this little girl Baby Page who died while her family was traveling thru this community. It is believed to be the first grave in Morgan Cemetery.Note 5: I have done my best to accurately transcribe the headstones and proof my typing. In 1902, H.H. & Mary Morgan donated 1 1/2 acres of land for the cemetery. In 1952, Mary L. Morgan Davis sold 1/2 acre

to enlarge the cemetery. Other Morgan's have donated land as well as Charles Joekel who donated 2 acres in memory of his grandfather, A.V. (Bud) Faulkner. The cemetery was originally known as White Oak Cemetery. The name change to Morgan Cemetery occurred sometime between the 1930's and early 1940's but when is not exactly known. (Researchers should be aware that there is currently a White Oak Cemetery, formerly Oakley Cemetery, in Porter, Texas, established about 1905.)
