EXECUTIVE PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Yaama
Over the past Term students have been earning Posi ve Behaviour
for Learning awards every week, for a ending at least 4 days of the
week and for their posi ve behaviour. Students needed to collect
10 Awards to reach the Gold Level; 7 Awards to reach the Silver
Level; and 5 Awards to reach the Bronze Level.
This Friday, the students who reached the Gold, Silver or Bronze
level will be rewarded for their effort. The Bronze level students will
engage in structured school ac vi es. The Silver level students will
be heading to the PCYC to par cipate in a range of ac vi es. Gold
Level students will be travelling to Inverell to enjoy Ten Pin Bowling
and Lazer Tag.
CONGRATULATIONS to the 23 students who reached the Gold
Level. You are all so deserving of this reward. I trust you will have
heaps of fun.
In addi on, all students who are at school on Friday will be treated
to breakfast, a bacon and egg muffin and a cup of milo.
This Friday is also the final day of Term 3. There will be a two week
break, and school for all students will resume on Tuesday 6th
October.
Posi ve Behaviour for Learning awards can be earned from week 1
of Term 4. Once again students who earn Gold, Silver and Bronze
levels in Term 4 will be rewarded accordingly at the end of the year.

3/4/5/6 M Working very hard during a writing lesson. They have also shown a lot of enthusiasm for “Genius Hour”
3/4/5T Really enjoyed looking at information about Great White Sharks. Then came up with fantastic facts about them.
Last Friday, 11th September, a group of Moree East Public School community travelled to
Coonamble to par cipate in an Educa onal Field Day hosted by Coonamble High School.
The group consisted of staff, students and parents. Staff included; Mrs Cutmore, Ms Jeffs,
Ma hew Priestley, Bronwyn Spearim, Linda Kelly and Muriel Kelly. A ending students were;
Kaedyn Smith, Malika Smith, Patricia Gordon, Michael Leslie, Andrew Pegus and Ashley
Hughes. School Reference Group parents included Carla Boney and Jess Foy.
All fi een Connected Communi es Schools, including Moree East, were given the
opportunity to share strategies currently being implemented in their schools. Moree East
students also conducted an interac ve dance workshop during the lunch break. The
students did our school proud and were an inspira on to other students who were envious
of the cultural opportuni es available to them. The Secretary, Department of Educa on, Dr.
Michele Brungies eagerly joined the workshop and was totally inspired by the students.
The bus trip! MEPS met up with and had a yarn with Ms
Michele Hall, Executive Director, Connected
Communities and Dr. Michele Bruniges AM,
Secretary, Department of Education.
