The Düker name has been synonymous with premium quality iron casting

for more than 540 years. We are among today‘s leading manufacturers of

valves and pressure pipe fittings for drinking water and gas supply world-

wide, as well as pipes and fittings for drainage technology.

We manufacture highly resistant enamelled components and pipes for the

chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. Custom-made casting is another

core activity with special-order production of parts for the printing, auto-

mobile and mechanical engineering sectors.

We currently employ a staff of well over 650 in

our modern Karlstadt and Laufach produc-

tion facilities, making Düker one of Germany’s

largest iron foundries. About ten percent of

Düker‘s staff are apprentices. We place a great

deal of emphasis on training future talent.

In Laufach we are working on our civil engineering line using ductile cast

iron. The valves and pressure pipe fittings are used in water supply and

disposal as well as in gas supply.

Depending on the requirements of the designated area of use, we offer our

customers various coating options. The range includes cement mortar, pre-

mium epoxy powder coating, acid-resistant and highly smooth enamel as

well as special coatings upon customer request.

A variety of socket types and thrust-resistant joint systems allows for safe,

economical, and above all tight connections between individual pipeline

components.

In addition to a wide variety of fittings, our comprehensive product line

encompasses a full range of valves, such as gate vales, butterfly valves,

hydrants as well as numerous joint systems.

SML pipes, fittings and couplings for building drainage

Cast iron socketless drainage pipe systems are used for discharging domestic waste water in and

around buildings and properties. They run from toilets, wash basins, washing machines etc, down to

the connection to the municipal wastewater disposal system. They also drain rain water from roofs

and bridges. Our cast iron pipe systems especially excel when it comes to soundproofing and fire

prevention, where they deliver convincing results. And, opposed to plastic pipes, they are a genuine

recycled product.

Depending on the point of installation and wastewater type, we offer our customers special system

solutions with various coatings or claddings. Street and bridge drainage systems are realized with MLB

pipe systems for example, which show an especially high resistance to exhaust fumes and road salts,

along with other aggressive materials. Highly aggressive wastewater, on the other hand, is drained

through MLK-protec pipes featuring a particularly resistant internal and external coating.

We are the only company today that produces socketless cast iron drainage pipes and fittings in

Germany.

The composition of wastewater is also changing over time. People’s habits

evolve and the chemical industry is introducing new substances, deter-

gents and cleaning agents on an almost daily basis.

We work in close cooperation with expert partners from the chemical and

biotechnology industries, supported by expert analysis ensuring that our

products continue to meet the ever-changing requirements.

Technical enamel is predominantly used in the chemical and pharmaceuti-

cal as well as in the food industries. This is where pipe systems, valves and

columns are subject to extremely high stresses.

Glass-lined products are the perfect match for these requirements thanks

to their properties. Their features include an extremely high resistance to

aggressive media such as acids. They are able to withstand extreme temper-

ature levels and offer reliable protection from surface wear and abrasion.

We further offer our customer comprehensive consulting services under the

brand name DPI (Düker Partner Industries) including planning, realization,

production, installation and commissioning of full pipeline systems.

Our physical chemistry laboratories are where we primarily develop the

various enamel formulas for their resistance to various media, operating

temperature or system application.

ideas, requirements and wishes of our customers in our state-of-the-art Karlstadt and Laufach

facilities.

From planning, engineering and prototype production to making the moulds and core boxes through to

the production of made-to-order small, medium and mass production series including surface finishing:

our jobbing foundry team offers a full service package. Regardless of whether the customer chooses

us as full-service provider or selects only a small portion of our vast range of services. Our customers

can rely upon being treated with utmost care and commitment toward their needs and products.

The Finite Element Method (FEM) supported by 3-D data enables us to calcu-

late strength and even allows us to simulate the mould and casting behav-

iour during filling and solidifying. This method allows us to detect and elimi-

nate defects before production even starts.

The verified 3-D data will then be realized in our in-house pattern-making

Our apprentices …

… are also a key factor in our entire staff. Every year, we take on apprentic-

es in ten commercial and technical fields in our in-house training facilities

in both the Laufach and the Karlstadt plants.

This is where our first-rate training staff imparts their extensive knowledge

while at the same time enabling a very practice-oriented approach.

In addition, we offer apprentices our own in-house instruction classes, sub-

ject specialization and exam preparation. These are supplemented by field

trips, various seminars and other in-house and external education events.

Internal and external advanced training semi-

nars contribute to expanding the potential in

(DIM) which since its inception has already col-

which Düker is one of the original partners, oper-

The ecological and social orientation of our compa-

ny is also evident in other projects:

In 2012, Düker introduced a certified Environ-

mental Management System as per EN ISO

14001 and an Energy Management System

as per EN ISO 50001. This was supplemented

by a certified Occupational Health and Safe-

ty Management System as per BS OHSAS

18001. Furthermore, and as an example, we have

had an institute establish a product eco-balance for

SML drainage pipes in order to enable an evalua-

tion for green building systems.

Following a specific system, we determine and

evaluate the impact we have on the environment

on a regular basis and make an effort to act in

such a way as to limit those impacts wherever

possible. The same procedure is applied to the

selection and use of raw and operating materi-

als, energy sources, technology and equipment,

as well as operating procedures.

Düker makes it a point during the process of

evaluating and selecting their suppliers and ser-

vice providers to ensure that they base their ac-

tivities and procedures on equivalent principles.

We establish environmental and energy objec-

tives for ourselves on a regular basis. They serve

as a foundation for the continued improvement

process within the scope of environmental and

energy management. This is why we ascertain

and eval-uate the status of our environmental

performance and energy efficiency on an annual

basis based on internal audits and revisions by

the company management.

As a company, Düker feels a special and strong

commitment towards the environmental, eco-

nomic and social needs of its employees and of

society.

This makes sustainability of our operations an

integral part of our company culture and rests on

the three pillars of economic viability, social re-

sponsibility and environmental accountability.

We operate two iron foundries in Karlstadt and

Laufach. Because we consume such a large amount

of energy and raw materials, we are especially

aware of our responsibility to more effectively

employ our natural resources. The rational use of

We set our own high quality standards for our products. It is for that reason

that we introduced a modern quality management system according to

EN ISO 9001 as early as 1993, which has also been DQS certified. In addition,

Düker products have undergone other tests and approval procedures in line

with product or market-specific standards or guidelines.

It is common for quality criteria to be met within the context of quality assur-

ance associations that far exceed standard requirements.

Regular and random checks, internal and external audits combined with our

employees’ motivation make up the driving force behind the QM system,

which forms an integrated element within the entire organization and is sub-

ject to continuous development. So the motto continues: “The products we

deliver are outstanding for their long useful life and always employ state-of-

the-art technology“.
