From the Principal’s Desk: Dear STM families, This past week our second through eighth graders took the IOWA tests. Thank you for your support with being sure they were in school and well rested. Next week grades 3, 5, and 7 will be taking the CoGAt portion of the test. All testing will be completed by Thursday, Sept. 27 th . On Friday, Sept. 28 th , is Grandparents Day here at STM! Due to that there is no All School Mass on this upcoming Tuesday, Sept. 25 th , it will instead be on Grandparents Day so we can celebrate Mass with all the grandparents visiting. Grandparents Day starts at 8:30 AM in the church with Mass and concludes at 11:30 AM in the gym. It is a half day for the students. PLEASE remember if your child(ren) will be leaving that day with their grandparent you need to send in a note or email to their classroom teacher. We appreciate your help with this so we can be sure all the kids get home safely. Also a reminder that the school has a Facebook page that will show more pictures of events that occur at school. If you have one and it is still up, it’s time to take it down and save it to display next February. She has also taught mainly in Catholic schools. She is looking forward to exploring and having fun with the students. This school year she is teaching preschool to our 3 and 4 year old classes. Mrs. Searls is married with 4 children of her own. She loves being outside, traveling, and watching hockey games. She and her family are parishioners of St. Thomas More Church. If you see her, please introduce yourself and wish her well!
