Seeing Through God’s Eyes (Matt. 4:18–22) —The calling of Jesus’s disciples
provide just a few examples where Jesus looked beyond who and what certain
people were in the moment to what they potentially could be. In striving to be
good neighbors, we must learn to do the same, looking past people’s pasts, their
failures, their shortcomings, to what they might possibly become due to the
transformational power of God’s Spirit in their lives.

Prayer Guide Week 6: June 12–18
Pray that our Pastor can learn valuable ministry lessons as he visits various churches in our city and state during this week. As he meets with staff leaders, may he learn how to continue strengthening our church family and evaluating our mutual mission as a church.
Dear Lord, as Pastor Steve visits various churches and learns about their ministries, may he gain lessons and examples to continue to strengthen our church family and help us as a community. Open his eyes and encourage his heart for ministry at UBC, and let him see how we can continue to be a church on mission together in our community. —Amen
