My Life So Far

The First Actual Happy Ending

Last year was a year full of strange yet amazing memories but the tale Im about to tell you is

one that shines brightly in my brain. This one may not be seem so great in the beginning but the

ending is really great.

It all started in one bright Saturday morning on Solyndars ballet recital it was also the

Saturday show for Little Shop of Horrors. I think it was about 11am in the morning. I was really

excited because I havent actually seen a real person do ballet or someone my age perform in a pink

tutu. I sort of wanted to embarrass her by taking photos and if I really wanted to, post them on

Facebook.

Around 11:30 I received a text message from Taimu which said, Hey r u goin 2 Solyndaz

baley recitalwhich I replied by typing, YahmY Suddenly my dad called me for lunch so I left

my phone mute and unattended on my bed. Once I was done eating around three fried Filipino styleshrimp with rice I dashed up to my room to find that Taimu had texted back. Her text said,

reawy mee 2 btw cn u pik me up infront of d gate of d skul u no d 1 wid d big ispp syn cuz

im 2 scared 2 go 2 her BIG howz n ring d bell cuz wt if dey get md at me While reading this I

was laughing, how hard can it be to just go up to Solyndars big yellow house and ring the doorbell.

While laughing I texted her back this, lol aww u scared 2 go up 2 her house n ring d bell

but k me pik u up in 15min k In a few seconds she replied, YESH!!! Plz if im nt der idc wat u

want bt dont leave. In my head a few strange thoughts came up to my head. How can she be so

scared to walk up to someones house and ring the bell. Suddenly and image of Taimu beating upone of Solyndars helpers came to my head. Oh, maybe thats why shes too scared to go alone, I

said.

I leave the house by hopping on a tuk tuk I was humming a song and floated away into my

imagination which was full of nonsense. Vibration on my hand pulled me out of my fantasy.

Looking at the front lighting of my phone I knew it was the Japanese tap-dancing girl who is the co-

inventor of jellypigs from my awesome class, 6A, better known as Taimu Fujita.

Hi, are you Lou? asked Taimu. While I was staring at my phone wondering if Taimu wascrazy, her voice which always sounds like she had a cold interrupted my humorous daydream of her

beating up some random guys, I am so going to pay her back once I see her. Lou, Loouu, LOU!

Hello caller Lou is currently unavailable right now, please try again later. Beep I said. I

was so sure that I fooled her by pretending to be that answering machine like the Khmer lady

whenever your phone is unavailable. She always says this the number you are calling is not

available at this time , please try again later but unexpectedly she said, Lou, I know thats you.

Taimu, you win ok now stop singing so what do you want! I barked out. Oh yeah and are

you at school yet because I cant find you and the more singing youre going to do I not going to

wait for you! Okay, I admit the part about me being at school was a lie. I was really in front of

Solyndars house ringing her doorbell for the fifth time. Yeah about that she said can you wait

for about five minutes. I need my camera. Then she hung up

On my 16th

ring, I think I dont really know I lost count after the fifth one, Taimu called me. Hey!

So Im here where you are? she asked. Sorry I replied Im in front of Solyndars house

Me toowell not really Im kind of beside it

But I dont see you

And I dont see you

A big black car drove away from the big tree and I just screamed Oh my GOD! Youre

wearing that dress that you wore in that choir concert last year when I told you that you looked

pregnant! Looking around confused Taimu finally spotted me and waved at me excitedly, And

you look pretty but are you wearing wedges? she asked. Yup I replied Theyre really goodhandy when it comes on stepping on peoples feet! I yelled

Once she came over we started fighting over who would ring the bell. My statement was that

I rang it for a billion times and hers was that she was too scared. After our brief argument we

decided that Taimu would ring the bell and I would talk to who ever came up to the gate. Following

three rings a Khmer lady came up to the gat and opened it. She started speaking in Khmer while

Taimu and I were staring at each other wondering the same thing, what on earth was she saying.

Once she had finished talking the only things I dared to say was, Solyndar at home?

She responded to us by waving her hand away from the house and said, Madam go outside.

For some reason I stared at Taimu and she said, Solyndar go car bye bye? While saying this she

accompanied it by pointing to a car when she said car and waved the bye hand motion when saying

bye bye. The lady just nodded and closed the door.

Well we just got ditched said Taimu. We just leaned against a car and stood there until I

had to break the silence even if it wasnt so awkward. Why dont we take photos one that only has

you, one with only me and one that has both of us I said. She started laughing for a reason that I

dont know but probably because she thought it was a stupid idea. Even if she did she still went

along. After taking photos on each others phone she realized, Were supposed to look ditched not

happy that we got ditched. Strange enough we started laughing. We had another round of photo

taking but this time we put on sad faces.

Once we were done we started looking at each others contact list. The names on her phone

were so weird. My first name was Dirf, I can see the reason anyway but still, second was Lou and

last name was Vano. Scrolling down while chuckling I saw the name Tevycookiemonster. I was

wondering what her house looked like because whenever people talked about her house they always

talked about how big it was. This gave me an idea. Taimu my eyes glinted with mischief do you

want to go to Tevys house. She just asked me if I was crazy. The only thing I replied was that no

one in our houses was expecting us home by 4. Persuaded by me she called Tevy and asked if we

could go to her house.

Tevy kept asking us if we really wanted to because her house was so far away but since we

were board to death, ditched in front of Solyndars house and with no money we said it was fine. I

handed my phone to the tuk tuk driver and she told the address. On the way to her house Taimu

started asking me if I have seen the Chinese prank call. She guessed I didnt because of my blank

and very usual what are you talking about face. She showed it to me and the whole summary of

the thing is that this guy prank calls a Chinese restaurant and says all these really random stuff like I

ordered chicken dumplings three hours ago or something even weirder like hello you speak theChinese right so are you Vietnamese or Thai.

After laughing for a few minutes we couldnt find her house. Consequently, we called Tevy

again and asked for directions. After the little chat she said that we were one road after her house.

Finally once we saw Tevy out of her cute, big green gate we were so happy because we found her

house. Once we walked inside Taimu and I looked around in awe. Her house was gigantic. It was so

pretty and it had a little open house that only contains chairs and a small fish pond filled with fish

that are supposed to bit your feet to eat you dead skin.

Once we got inside the first thing I noticed was the really beautiful white Christmas tree with

balls, bells and ornaments of different sizes all around it. We walked upstairs and her house is

seriously big. From the second floor when you looked down you could see a really big living room

and just a glimpse of the kitchen. We walked in her room and it look just like I expected it too,

really appealing.

For a few minutes we went on Facebook and Skype talking to some random people and

telling most of them the story of how Taimu and I got ditched and where we ended up. Riah just

laughed at both of us and said, Yup, that is exactly what happens to Lou and Taimu get ditchedthen gets to go to a awesome place but for a normal person once they get ditched they cry then go

home with a sad and heavy heart Tevy just awed because Riah said that her house was awesome

but Taimu and I felt kind of weird. After chatting with other people we started taking the heads of

Barbie dolls and made them dance while Taimu took Tevys Ray Bands and started dancing. We

took a really long video. Once we were done and let out all of our craziness it was time for us to

chill and watch a movie.

Tevy laid out 5 movies to choose from. Taimu said she didnt care so I just chose Raise

Your Voice starring Hilary Duff. The beginning was about a girl who loses her brother when hedies from a crash coming home from his favorite band with his sister. At the car crash scene Tevy

and Taimu started crying while I was just laughing. Once I was done with my laughing fit I checked

the time and it was time for both of us to get home. After telling this to Tevy she skipped to the end

and we watched the scene where she makes a song for her brother and her and sings it. On the line

this is for my brother all three of us started crying.

Finally it was time for us to go home. After I called my tuk tuk driver he said that we had to

wait for 30min. While waiting we went downstairs to the front of her house and rested in her little

gazebo. After sitting around for a while we decided to dip our feet in the fish pond. When Taimu puther feet in the water she started screaming because the fish were tickling her. When I dipped my feet

in I understood why she was screaming. The fish kept biting your toes and sometimes they kept

touching the part which tickles the most.

Taimu started taking a video of our feet and the fish pond. We started laughing and

screaming at the same time. During this event Tevy just started at us in a really calm face. Why are

you so calm the fish are so tickling. Said Taimu. Tevy just stared at us probably wondering why

we were screaming.

Once the tuk tuk driver came we told him to send us home. We wanted to go to Sorya to

watch some random movie but I said that we didn't have enough time. Since Taimu said that she

was with me and my parents when her dad called I kind of had to leave her stranded in front of

Solyndars house. A few minutes later I called Taimu and asked her if her dad picked her up. She

said yes.

And that was the day when a bad thing turns into a happily ever after.

FLOWER POWER

On one very bright and sunny day in the Netherlands, when I was about seven, my family

and I decided to go to Keukenhof. Keukenhof, also known as the Garden of Europe, is the world's

largest flower garden situated near Lisse, Netherlands. It is a gigantic place filled with probably

every type of flower. Everywhere you go there are tulips of any color.

On that day there was a pretty big line. Once we got in you could see flowers everywhere,

roses, tulips and others. They were so beautiful I reminded me of a song about flowers I learned at

school that was in dutch. After just standing there and looking, my family and I walked over to a

pretty big use better wordcrowd. Once we got closer we saw that there was it was a mini fashion

show. Im not so sure but I think that they were modeling clothes with flower prints and wearing

hats that were made out of flowers.

After that we started walking around and saw a little pond with a playground. I started

playing around. I think I walked back and forth on a bridge that had water underneath. I remember

there was a metal slide that I kept going up on. I also remember that there was a bunch of ducks, one

big mommy duck and about ten little ducks. Im pretty sure that I asked my dad to give me the

camera and took about ten pictures of the cute little ducks which were black and yellow (I know this

because I still have all the pictures from the trip)

After lunch we started looking around and found these big windmills. As a child I was very

energetic and curious. I ran into it and climbed up the stairs. Once I reached the top I went straight

to the balcony. It was sort of scary because the tails of the windmills were working so it was this big

strong fan going and going. After that very long day we went back home to have a good nights

sleep.

Recently I asked my mom if my aunt went to Keukenhof she said that she has, many times. Ireplied to her saying that we only went once. When I asked her why she said it was because I

always wanted to stay at home. I wish I didnt only go once so that I could have seen it more than

once.

The Karma Chain

I yelled a cry of pain as I landed in a shallow pool of ice cold water when I went down. A

few seconds ago I was looking at the window and asked out loud if I was a hobo. As I steadied

myself back up I found that Riah and Taimu were laughing at me. I ran to the box of tissues to clean

the water. My cheeks felt hot with embarrassment. For the rest of the class I kept thinking that this

day has got to be the worst day in my life. Once we got out from class Taimu and Riah kept teasing

me as we went down the stairs. Unexpectedly, Taimu fell down the stairs while laughing. Once I got

down I bent down to Taimu who was currently rubbing her back and whispered one thing. Karma.

While climbing up the stairs there was a series of shut ups from Taimu and I all aimed to

Riah. Hardly any seconds later Alex Allegra came tumbling down past us. The three of us rushed

down the stairs to ask him if he was alright. Rolling on the floor full of amusement Taimu, Riah and

I went up to Computer Technology. We started logging on to our computers when we heard a loud

bang. The three of us sped to the door to see who it was. The only sight I saw was a boy who looked

slap happy. We tumbled in front of Ms. Tay and mentioned what happened. During the whole

explanation she just looked at us as if we a bunch of crazy kids.

Ms. Tay, Ms. Tay! Guess what! You know my good friend right here, right? questioned

Taimu while slapping me in the back. Lou is a very bad girl. During humanities she was sitting

down doing her work when she asked a very random question gurgled Riah. Taimu and Riah were

both laughing so hard. I was sitting down doing my work when I randomly asked if I was a hobo.

Then I fell down on really cold water cause my water bottle was leaking. And, and, and after class

Taimu fell down the stairs when we walking here Alex fell down the stairs when we were climbing

up the stairs I exclaimed.

Once we calmed down slightly, emphasis on the word slightly, we went to our computers and

started doing our work. Unfortunately, Alex had other plans. Did you know that the stuff that

makes up my water bottle is exceptionally strong, which means if I drop this he pointed to his

water bottle, it wont break To prove his point he dropped his water bottle but in contrast to his

theory it shattered in little bits of plastic. Karma! Riah and I sang.

Following a few weeks items were ripped, pencils were broken, possessions kept falling on

the ground but most of all people kept falling. One day we went around asking people in my class if

they have had karma yet. After our little survey we found out that most of the girls fell down oncebut the boys seemed as if they had two left feet. The days when karma still ruled over 6A we got so

sick of it we decided to sit down and try to break it.

Im not so sure if our method worked but months after that we were slightly clumsy but it

happened once in a while.

A Collection of Random Topics

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I dont want to work. I mentally screamed. It was such a sluggish day.

Okay, Letslook at the countries that you need to research. Ms. Gawler bellowed. We gathered

our chairs to the front of the room. As we chattered like birds she told us to be quiet. When we got

to the United States we zoomed in. She scrolled down to the coast and zoomed in even closer. She

started describing the land forms when the cursor waved over the ocean. Nanas House! we

shrieked. We all subsided in our chairs with laughter.

Does anyone want to zoom in the Nanas House? Ms Gawler questioned. If you know u s

really well you would probably know the answer but if you dontYESSS!!!! While she zoomed in

we say little bakery shops with all the colors of the rainbow. After a while we moved on and looked

at the seas. Once in the middle of the ocean we saw a hotel.

When we went to Australia we started talking about different animals. Our attention shifted

from Google Earth to Ms Gawler. She told us a story about her sister driving and accidentally hit a

kangaroo. From that point on we started talking about different kind of animals and our favorite. Wesearched on google images of really random animals. Pablo told us a story about a fish then Holly

started doing her really creepy laugh. Both Pablo and Holly had tomato colored faces which made

the whole class laugh.

Jellypig!! Taimu stated. All heads turned to her. I like jellyfishes and pigs so I mixed

them together which equals jellypig

Could you draw it on the board please We requested. She dashed to the board then drew a

pigs head but at the bottom of the head she made a wavy line. Coming out of the head were wavy

lines in different lengths. Saved by the bell, I say saved by the bell because Taimu can tend to be

really hyper in things like this, we rushed out of the class telling everyone what happened a few

minutes ago.

More About Me

Part 1

Like everyone else I have a dark side and a bright side.

Bubbly; someone happy, always smiling, giggly, perky and sometimes annoying. That I guess a

good and a bad thing about me. I asked my friends if there was one word to describe me what would

it be. So according to Neary, Lizzie and Serey I am bubbly. I think I am about 85% percent

bubbly because I think I am happy, VERY giggly, perky and sometimes annoying and 15% not

bubblybecause I dont smile all the time. So, I am supposed to write about my personal qualities

good and bad so I am going to start with the good side of my bubbly personality.

A good thing about my bubbly personality is I am enthusiasticmost of the time. When I am

enthusiastic I am probably laughing and somehow lighten the room unless there is a really angry

person throwing things around.

Bad things about my so called bubbly personality is that if your too happy your either mental or just

I exactly mental but kind of crazy and over the top which can get very annoying or just get myself

embarrassed. I dont think I am truly miserable though.

Now to my next quality, this isdisorganized. Organization is a quality I can never have. One time

in sixth grade we had to hand our science investigation. I was looking for it in my drawers, closet,

clothes, books, the kitchen, the freezer and other really bizarre places. When I got to school I started

looking for it in my loker. After just sitting around I realized I didnt look in my bag and I found it.

Once I found my treasure I realized that it was torn. It looked as if Napoleon wrote itpaper

didnt look that bad though. I ran to Mr. Webster and asked him if I could hand it in early because I

didnt know what my bag would do to the poor thing if I kept it there. When Mr. Webster got it he

asked me if I had some hamster in my bag.

Another good quality of mine is courageous. I think I am a pretty courageous person because in one

of my piano recitals I was with Maya and Soapy and we started chatting about the most random

things. Suddenly Maya was like, Lou, you just look and probably feel like youre going to a party

but Sophoan and I are like to very nervous people who looks like they are going to have a job

interview! Sophoan put in, Yeah, you look so chill!

Part 2

If I had to choose one, I would choose bubbly. I chose my bubbly personality because it had a

negative, positive and I think that I am genuinely bubbly. I like it because I dont like it when things

are too good or too bad its just makes me feel crazy.

If there was those doctor things that check your heart beat for my life it would probably be

constantly changing. For a few minutes its would be a steady beat to show how board I am then get

really high then low then high then low for about 30 seconds then it would get all bunched up to

show my anger. The thing would go high to show my laughingness then low to show that I just feel

weird the high again because I just feel crazy.

I think it is my best quality because I just am thatbubbly. I am annoying, perky, enthusiastic,

perky and awesomewell a good person and I am not a fake. I like a change but if Ive been like

that too long id probably feel like I am dead.

I think that being is a bubbly person says a lot about because it means a lot of things jumble all in

one person. I know I am sometimes annoying because in Arts Night I was hanging out with Lizbut, its what I call her, and randomly started saying mojo jojo in really random voices. Serey, Lana

and all these other people kept telling us to shut up but we kept on doing it.

For my bubbly personality most peoplewell my so called friends think that I look like a soda pop

about burst and everyone is aware of it.

Part 3

long time ago, when dragons were still here and princes had to save princesses from evil witches

ok so maybe not long but I wrote that because when I search through my memory its like watchingTV with bad cable.

I was seven and board. I was so board I was making unnecessary sounds. Suddenly my mom came

down the stairs and asked me, Lou, do you need to go to the doctor because you dont sound

right! for some reason I just started laughing like the Mad Hatter and The Joker mixed together.

My dad was next to me fake laughing then I started laughing. After what seemed for hours I started

crying and then complaining about a my little pony toy or something. While I was just there

sitting on the chair crying my parents were staring at me as if I were insane then my dad broke the

awkward silence by doing a fake laugh. The moment he did that I suddenly started laughing like amad person.

After for a few seconds sat in the hallway and looked at my Back in the Barnyard poster which

said (I still have it) Back in the Barnyard season1-4 out on sale. I dont know what I was thinking

but I burst out laughing. A few of my friends came in hearing the noise and started laughing along.

This is when my awesome, superstar bubbly quality was revealed. If you dont get it shows that I

VERY giggly, enthusiastic and I lightened up the moodbesides the part whn I started crying.

Part 4

She always seems to be laughing! I laugh a lot. Emphasis on A LOT. Sometimes I laugh just because I want to.

Sometimes I laugh when I see someone else laughing. I think everyone in the class has

seen me stare at someone laughing then randomly start doing my forced creep laugh.

Even if something is not that funny I can start laughing for over a long period of time.

She always seems to be singing! I sing about 95% in a day. One time when we were in math class and I couldnt get the

answer and for some reason I just started singing and everyone in my team was like,Lou! Were all stressed out and this is what you do. YOU SINGARE YOU

CRAZY???!!! Even if I just hear a note or something that sounds familiar but not the

same I just start singing.

She hates math but strangely is good at it (IM NOT TRYING TO SOUND VAIN, IVEHEARD OTHER PEOPLE SAY THIS ABOUT ME)

When ever were are in math class and the teacher gives out these math problems Improbably in problem number 20 when most of the other students are still in question 3.

Part 5

I HATE DOTS Since i was little if i saw a chicken with dots all over it i would get so creeped out i

would get goose bumps. One time in Chinese class i was sitting on the table and i

looked down and i saw all these tiny dots which made me never sit on the table ever

again.

I am scared of dogs but i want a German Sheppard that is trained to be a K9 for by birthday I am PETRIFIED OF DOGS! It all started when one time when i was about 3 i was

playing with the dogs then my dad for lunch. I left the dogs then slowly startedwalking back home. I guess my dad lost his patience because he suddenly screamed,

LOU HURRY UP!!! I cant eat unless youre here thats whats your mom said Due

to that i ran home. Without me knowing dogs started chasing me so fast i was so

scared. When i got home i climbed on my dad while the dogs were barking on his feet.

Now it sounds very strange that I want a German Sheppard because they can attack

people and locate evidence and all this other cool stuff.

I actually like some sports (I know RIGHT!!!!) Every morning when i dont have school my dad and i go biking in Diamond Island.

When i was about 10 i used to love badminton, i still do but i dont play it that often.

Recently we bought a volleyball and know whenever we go to Diamond Island weplay. Occasionally my dad and i have little races for biking. For most people if you

put my name in the same sentence of sports (unless it was a bad thing) it just would

not sound right. Most people would think of me as the sort of person in her room on

the internet doing random stuff.
