Happy New Year to all!! A new year is in front of us and I am happy to announce that the club has volunteers for President (Milo W.) and Treasurer (Joyce O.) We still need a Newsletter Editor and Sunshine Person as Penny Anderson would like to resign from those positions. The MOB Christmas Party was a huge success. The business meeting lasted maybe 5 minutes with decisions made to make charity donations to Nana’s

House and Promise of Brevard. We also voted to make a memorial donation in remembrance of Marlowe Baranowski. We had 36 members and guests, cruised through a Chinese gift exchange and enjoyed Christmas cake. Yearly membership dues for 2019 can be made by mail at anytime. However, the Treasurer will happily accept payments at the next club meeting. Super Swap XX is scheduled for February 8th & 9th. All MOBsters are asked to assist in this important activity. If you have limiting capabilities (walking, etc), there still will be a placement for you. Penny and Pete have been hard at work planning for a successful event. If the good Lord will bless us with good weather, we should have a very successful show. The next Marco’s Pizza dinner cruise will be on January 24th. All

MOBsters are encouraged to attend and enjoy the social time and also the great pizza. The next Cruise in for Charity is scheduled for January 17th. Please come out and support this great charity event. Drive Safe and Happy New Year!!, President Bob

A New Years Wish On New Years’ Eve, Marilyn stood up in the local pub and said that it was time to get ready. At the stroke of midnight, she wanted every husband to be standing next to the one person who made his life worth living. Well, it was kind of embarrassing. As the clock struck – the bartender was almost crushed to death.

SEVEN LUCKY FOODS FOR 2019 According to www.allrecipes.com Black eyed peas, collard greens, and cornbread is a meal that ranks high on the list for luck in the New Year. Peas=pennies, greens=dollars, cornbread=gold. Other foods to consider: Pork-Pork is progress. Pigs root around with their snouts moving in a forward motion symbolizing progress. Grapes-Eating 12 at midnight at one each strike of the hour is thought to bring luck for the following 12 months. Pomegranates- Symbolizes Fertility, Life and Abundance Fish-So many fish in the sea-symbolizes abundance in the New Year. Noodles and Rice-By sucking up an extra long noodle without breaking it symbolizes a long life. Rice symbolizes fertility and wealth. A New Year Prayer for the Elderly God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway. The good fortune to run into the ones I do. AND the eyesight to tell the difference.

Special Notes: This low production pickup was introduced at the 2008 Texas State Fair to give competition to the 2008 Ford King Ranch. This pickup has won three 1st place awards at the Chrysler Nationals held in Carlisle, PA. The 1st award was in 2009 and then back to back 1st place awards in 2014 & 2015. Resistol specific touches include a special two-tone exterior color scheme of dark Khaki metallic main body upper and light Khaki metallic lower body. Also rear fender flares. Special Resistol badges adorn each B pillar and stainless steel tubular side steps reach from wheel to wheel. MOB Christmas Party By Penny Anderson Sunday, December 9th, some 40 people joined together at MeMaw’s to celebrate Christmas with a Chinese gift exchange along with good food, reminiscing of 2018 and simply friendly fellowship. Enjoy the pictures of those who attended and the festive setting.

Blazing Wheels Car Show By Penny Anderson On Saturday, December 8th, eight MOBsters attended the Larsen Motorsports car show. Those attending were Roger & Sharon B., Jim M. & friend Carol, Pete S., Jay B., and Bob and myself. Also former Mobster Paul Vatcher was present. All types of vehicles were present. “Eddie Munster” from the long ago “The Munsters” show displayed some of the famous vehicles from the show. And of course, Larsen Motorsports showed some of their dragsters. It was an educational experience along with just great fun. Enjoy the pics.
