A Smile is the Coolest Thing You Can Wear

In the creative cellars of the picturesque town of Stryn, Norway (pop. 6750), just over ten years ago, two local designers Simen Staalnacke and Peder Børresen, after years of global travels, international studies and nights of sizzling cocktails, gave birth to a concept soon to be known, worn, and adored; the Norwegian fashion lifestyle brand Moods of Norway. Soon the duo met up with the third musketeer, Stefan Dahlkvist, and drew their lines for the coming collections.

As of this golden minute, Moods of Norway is presented in the most polished and happy stores around the world.

Our main goal is to make “Happy Clothes for Happy People” by blending our Norwegian heritage with vibrant colorful fashion.

Our SpringSummer collection is inspired by the magic of music and festivals, combined with Moods of Norway´s approach to festival life itself.

The collection is divided into different moods experienced at a festival, with a color palette ranging from the earthy tones at sunrise, to the warmer colors of sunset. Products are available for the camper, the dressed up “glamper” and even the main act performing on stage.

Simplicity and energy is key for SS15. Integral seam and stitching details, directional open-work, subtle over-dye and authentic yetplayful new patterns are introduced. Saturated neutrals are seen throughout the collection with energetic, yet subtle patterns. This adds an element of freshness and energy to the collection.

The carefree approach to life at the festival scene is illustrated by our graphics, stretching from humorous and sophisticated tee prints, to abstract impressions of summertime. These cool looks and high-end finishes are brought together and mixed with youth and confidence.
