Moodle 2.0:Adding an Activity to Simulate

a Student Response System

Click on Add an activity…

Select Choice

Add a name and introduce the text

(or ask a question).

Disable Limit

Add Options for answers

then scroll down

If desired, click Restrict answering… and specify the time

period

Set Publish Results to“Show results to students only after

the choice is closed”

Set Allow choice to be updated to “Yes”

Set the other options based on your needs and then click Save and return

to course

For this next step you will need to open an automatic refresher website. I am using http://www.pagereboot.com.

First, click on the Activity

Then, copy the URL for the Choice Activity page.

Paste in the URL, set the refresh time (try 5

seconds), and click START.

Students can now use this Choice activity to respond to what is happening in the class. They can update their opinion as the instructor provides additional information about the subject under study. Only the instructor will see the participants’ responses.
