Here is a mood board of what the forms and conventions are of a Thriller. I have chosen to use these photos because I feel they show and express well what a Thriller is.

As you can see I think shadows are very important in a thriller to grasp the tension more.

Thrillers often use mirrors in certain scenes because its builds tension for the audience to watch it as one minute the enemy isn’t there then when you look back into the mirror you see there reflection this is used in many thrillers.

Make up is very important in thrillers because it shows the contrast between the victim and the antagonist. Victims would usually have blood or cuts, showing how vulnerable they are and that they are in danger. Whereas the Villans seem to have makeup that hides their faces, making them a mystery to the viewer because of their hidden identity.

Props are very important when making a thriller. As you can see, weapons are commonly used in thriller films. This makes the audience aware who is the protagonist and who is the antagonist. We are able to see who is a threat and who is in danger of getting hurt.
