Background

For the movie “Gravity” produced and directed by Alfonso and Jonás Cuarón in 2013, it will be applied the mood analysis from the network system. It was chosen 10 minutes from the movie, specifically from minute 4 to minute 14. During this time Dr, Stone and Matt Kowalski (main actors) had an accident when they were repairing the Hubble spatial telescope.

Context

Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is a medical engineer in charge to repair the Hubble Telescope accompanied by the astronaut Matt Kowalski (George Clooney), during their space walk, a storm made of pieces of a destroyed satellite hits the explorer leaving them alone in the space.

Conclusions

It can be observed that most of the sentences were indicative declarative, and the Dr. Stone was the character with the major number of them. This is due to the fact that her mission in the space required a big quantity of declaratives sentences in the interaction with the mission control and the astronaut Matt Kowalsky

Conclusions

It can also be observed that the astronaut Matt Kowalsky had the majority imperative sentences, this is because he commanded the shuttle mission and he had to give technical orders to Dr. Stone when she was in trouble when the rest of spatial garbage hit the explorer in order to keep her alive.
