NATIONAL NEWS
Hello Everyone! May was fun—
kinda cool. Had a great movie
night. The movie “Why We Ride” is
really cool. If you haven’t seen it
you should get it! The ride to Whit-
more was really good. Had a lot of
fun. And then we had the bike show.
This year was a great success. I
guess we will do it again next year.
June should be fun. So far it has
been hot. That’s great so lets ride!
We are having a diner ride on June
11th. Come to Kahuna’s for Monga-
logan BBQ. Should be good. And
then we are going on the Saturday
ride to McCloud falls. Bruce Brown
is leading this one and if you haven’t
been there, you won’t want to miss
it.
The 19th, 20th and 21st we will be
in Coos Bay, OR for the Lighthouse
Run. Can’t wait. It is always fun—
YeppieKayAA! When we get back
on the 28th it is Mini Golf. If you
are hungry meet at 6:00 at Christy’s
for dinner or at Oasis Fun Center at

MEMBER OF THE MONTH
This Month’s Members of the Month are
Eric and Debbie Dean. Eric and Debbie
are the newest members of our club. Eric
serves as our club photographer and
Debbie is our R.E.A.L. leader.
Eric, grew up in Alhambra, Calif. He
started riding at age 12 on a Yamaha 175
dirt bike. From there he moved through
many metric bikes (rice rockets) and
ended up Drag Racing a Kawaski Gpa
1100 that ran in the low 9’s. His first
Harley was a XL1200C Sportster, then it
was a Night Train, a used Ultra Classic
and then in 2007 a New Ultra Classic.
Last year Eric retired from his job of 27
years at Southern California Edison Com-
pany. He and Debbie sold their home
and a ton of other Junk and moved north to
help take care of Debbie’s Mom.
Debbie, grew up in Westchester, Calif. She
enjoyed surfing and other water sports. She
married and moved out of state. After her
marriage ended, she moved back to Califor-
nia to finish raising her four children. She
worked as an administrator of a Day Care
Center for the Elderly. In 1997 she met Eric
and her prayers were answered. They mar-
ried in 1999 and together they share six chil-
dren, twenty grandchildren and one Great
grandchild. For Debbie the move to Redding
has been a tough adjustment, not seeing the
grandkids a lot has been hard.
Debbie’s hobbies are cooking, quilting, col-
lecting antique and gardening. Eric’s hobbies
are his two Corvette’s His
Harley and all his retirement
projects. They both enjoy
camping. Debbie prefers rid-
ing on the back of their Ultra
and did so all the way to Stur-
gis and back.
They both feel the best thing
about our club is the really
great people they have met
and all the rides have been
really great. They are looking
forward to the Lighthouse
Run and the club campout.

CHECK THIS OUT! Thank you
JAN PARKER for putting this great adventure together!
It will be fun to see who Wins!
The Whitmore Volunteer Fire Department Poker Run is always a great event. We love to support non-profit organizations that need a boost in the coffers each year. This event has always been a fun ride and well attended by all groups. We had prior obligations in the afternoon so didn’t do the actual ride but donated to the cause anyway! Thanks to all who rode up and enjoyed the day.
FUTURE EVENT SCHEDULE - see the website

RIDE AND HAVE FUN!
SAFETY SAFARI - By Don Saewert
May the sun rise in front of me, May the rain fall behind me, And the wind follow beside me, May the angels guard my travels, For they know the road ahead of me.
Keep me safe through Swirling turns and rolling hills, Let the eagle guide me to the mountaintops. Let the moonlight guide me Through the night. Let the air of spring Breathe life into my soul, To journey to another adventure Out on the open road.............
