A new plantation area of Rourkela Steel Plant Ispat Nandan Vihar

he RSP, CEO planted a sapling in the Tree Plantation

TProgramme organized by the Horticulture Department

at the venue to mark the observance of Van Mahotsav-

2020. The Steel Plant has so far planted more than 50 lakh

trees in and around Rourkela thereby creating a girdle of

green. Shri Raj Vir Singh, ED (P&A), Shri Ajay Kumar Nayak,

CGM (TA&CSR), and some other Senior Officers of RSP

present on the occasion also planted saplings. Dr. Avijit

CPL observed "Swachhta Pakhwada"

Bto promote awareness on Swachhta Activities and to accomplish the

dream of Hon'ble Prime Minister of India under the aegis of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The event commenced with the tree plantation drive at BCPL plant by Shri Reep Hazarika, Managing Director BCPL and other senior officials. In addition to this, various cleanliness drives have been undertaken as a part of this mission at BCPL Lepetkata, GDU Duliajan and Lakwa. Online Quiz Competition was organized for the employees of BCPL and Art Competition amongst the Children of BCPL employees. An awareness programme on innovation in Waste management and DIY craf t competition was also organized for the residents of BCPL township. Due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic BCPL had also distributed PPE kits to the Housekeeping Workers of the plant and also to the Airport Authority, Dibrugarh.

the 10th board results pass percentage to 59.68% this year which

had hovered around 37% (2017-19).

The ‘Shikshit Haryana’ project aims to increase the learning levels of the

students and increase the number of high performers. Earlier, a MoU has

been signed between NTPC Faridabad & DC Faridabad in collaboration

with IIM Ahmedabad.
