*Note: Registrations are only an indicator of business formation and do not represent actual new businesses. For example, a registration may be filed to

consolidations, reinstatements and other changes that may lead to a loss of a business. In addition, not all businesses that close make a filing.

Dublin-based InfoMotion Sports Technologies Inc. recently

closed a $3.5 million Series A investment round. The funding will

help InfoMotion's consumer launch of its 94Fifty basketball

product. The 94Fifty basketballs have embedded sensors that

track speed and force of dribbling, release angle, rotation and

other key elements of the physics of good ball-handling and

shooting. To date, the company has marketed the product to

college teams.

On July 17, InfoMotion announced a distribution and product

partnership with Spalding, the world's largest baseketball

equipment supplier. The new investment will help build upon

this opportunity. The company initially located to the Columbus

Region in part because of an Innovation Ohio Loan Fund, which

provided $750,000 in early-stage capital.
