Our firms work involves evaluating existing exhibits and developing concepts for improvements. A key component of the project was a three-day workshop with the client and stakeholders to examine the current Exploration Center experience and brainstorm ways to enhance it, in particular to appeal to a target audience of families with young children.
As a result, APA made two types of recommendations: overall improvements to create a more immersive experience (lighting, graphics, circulation) and exhibit-by-exhibit designs for new hands-on activities. The new concept offers visitors abundant opportunities to be transported to and engage with the undersea world of the Marine Sanctuary.
